Well Andy Burnham has just had his 5 mins in the sunshine before being cast into the political wilderness in about 250 days or so and announced he is going to phase it out over the next 3 years.

F**k me thats will get all those sun readers back wont it.

Silvio Silvio Silvio..........think before you open your gob.

Most world leaders try to avoid repeating gaffes. Not Silvio Berlusconi. The Italian Prime Minister has called President Obama “tanned” again — but this time he did not miss the opportunity to joke about the First Lady’s skin colour as well.

After his return from the G20 summit in Pittsburgh, Mr Berlusconi told a rally of conservative supporters that he was bringing greetings from someone in the United States.

“What’s his name? Some tanned guy. Ah, Barack Obama,” he said. He then added: “You won’t believe it, but the two of them sunbathe together, because the wife is also tanned.”

For god sake you docile bugger with your history I would certainly be keeping my head down and my gob shut.

See Here for additional info

This is not the first time Mr Berlusconi has made reference to the US president’s race. Soon after Mr Obama won the election in November 2008, and became America’s first black president, Mr Berlusconi raised eyebrows by saying the victor was “young, handsome, and even has a good tan”.

As he approached the President and his wife, the Italian media tycoon threw his arms in the air, in what could have either been a gesture of admiration, or an invitation for an embrace from Michelle.

Instead, Mrs Obama offered him only a formal handshake — while her husband looked on, severely. She did not appear to want to go too close to Mr Berlusconi, who has been plagued by revelations about his private life over the past six months, including an allegation that he spent the night of the US presidential election in bed with a prostitute.

Ask Baroness Scotland for her Opinion???

A checkout girl picked to model for Tesco in a glossy advertising blitz has been exposed as an illegal immigrant.

But dont worry Tesco its only like not paying a congestion charge..........to quote Patricia Scotland.

Fatou Cham, 32, came to the UK from Gambia, West Africa, in 1998 on a student visa but stayed after it expired in 2001.

Miss Cham, who works at the Tesco store, in Beckton, east London, was chosen from hundreds of hopefuls to model the Florence and Fred clothing range for an ad campaign used in women's magazines.

Next to a picture of Miss Cham modelling a blue dress and heels were the words: "Designed by F&F. Priced by Tesco. Modelled by Fatou, checkout number 6, Tesco, east London."

Immigration officers questioned her at her home in East Ham, east London, on Monday.

She was quoted in the Sunday Mirror as saying: ""I came here for a better life and never set out to deceive anyone.

"I just want to stay here with my family and be happy."

Yeh right course you did honey.

She said she had been excited to be chosen for the Tesco campaign and had hoped it would bring her other opportunities.

"Now it has all gone horribly wrong," she added.

Miss Cham initially came to the UK to study banking, economics and finance at London Metropolitan University.

Her mother and eldest child were allowed to join her in the UK in 2000. Her two other children were born in Britain.

Miss Cham applied to stay in the UK when her student visa ran out but was refused permission.

A further application in January this year was also turned down and she has appealed to the High Court.

When Miss Cham joined Tesco in 2002, overseas citizens just needed a national insurance number to work in the UK.

But since 2004 they have been required to have a valid work visa, although this did not apply to those already in employment.

A Tesco spokeswoman said: "As soon as we were made aware of this issue by the UK Border Agency we co-operated fully with the investigation.

Well as I said ask the Attorney General for her complete ruling on the law. I am sure for an additional 170K in incorrect expenses she will be able to give an unbias opinion.

Oh Good Idea !!!!

...........close the door after the horse has bolted!!!

Mr Useless F**k Gordon Brown will promise tough action on problem families who terrorise their neighbours as he delivers his final conference speech before the general election.

With Labour plumbing new depths in the polls, Captain Useless will put crime and anti-social behaviour centre stage in the hope of clawing back any ounce of credibility.

The First Cretin of the treasury, will promise to stand by "the lawful majority", who he will say are right to be getting "ever more angry" at the behaviour of a minority who disrupt their communities with drink and drug-fuelled disorder and children running out of control.

His pledge comes the day after an inquest jury criticised police for failing to help mother Fiona Pilkington, 38, and her daughter Francecca Hardwick, 18, who burned to death in a car after complaining of years of harassment by youths in their Leicestershire home.

YES TOO F**KING LATE FOR HER.

In his keynote speech to a Brighton conference under the banner "Operation Fightback", the Drug popping loon will announce £36 million of additional funding to roll out "tough love" Family Intervention Projects (FIPs) to all 50,000 of the country's most difficult families over the coming five years.

Any parent of a child issued with an Asbo will automatically be subject to a parenting order requiring them to go through intensive courses.

FIPs, which have been piloted in areas including Dundee, deliver what the Government terms "intensive, one-on-one, hard-edged support" for families where drugs, drink, bad parenting and persistent joblessness are a problem.

Mr Brown will tell delegates: "Whenever and wherever there is anti-social behaviour, we will be there to fight it. We will not stand by and see the lives of the lawful majority disrupted by the behaviour of the lawless minority.

Another example of Labour policy and Nu-Labours broken Britain legacy.

Another promise by Blair, not delivered by Brown.............what was it now.
Oh yes........
TOUGH ON CRIME........TOUGH ONTHE CAUSES OF CRIME...........my arse!!!!!!

Another shit load of hot air spounted to an assembled bunch of morons, who sit hanging off your everyword............whilst the rest of us remain knowing full well absolutely nothing will change and feral kids will keep running wild.

Update to T in the Park Post

Below letter received from the "Big Day Out"

*BIG DAY OUT LTD*
PO Box 25341

18th September 2009

Mr XXXXXX XXXXXX
XXXXXXXX XXXXX XXXXXXXXX
X XXXX XXXXX
Dunfermline
KY12 7DL

Dear Mr XXXXXX

Thank you for your letter of 16th September.

As you are probably aware we are in dispute with Easywaste, who were the waste management contractor for this year's T in the Park.

There were major failings in Easywaste's delivery at the event which resulted in both ourselves and Perth and Kinross Council having to take significant remedial action in terms of additional resource all at the expense of Big Day Out Ltd.

Without exaggeration, the problems caused by Easywaste's poor delivery could well have brought about cancellation of the event which would have had catastrophic consequences.
Fortunately Tayside Fire Brigade, Perth & Kinross Council and other contractors worked co-operatively with us and we were able to continue with the event.

As you would expect, we were not prepared to pay the full contract price to Easywaste, however, they feel that this should still be paid. We have made an offer to them which goes beyond what we think a legal settlement would result in as we want to ensure that those individuals that did work are paid in full, however, it seems that Easywaste still wish to make their projected profit in addition to that.

Through our legal team we suggested mediation which was rejected, however, Easywaste's recent actions, including blaming the nonpayment of their staff on ourselves through public meetings and talking to the Daily Record, seem to have backfired on them, not least because it is their legal responsibility to pay the individuals regardless of any dispute with us.

After the recent coverage in the newspapers it would appear that they are now prepared to consider mediation and our lawyers hope to progress this as soon as possible.

It is of serious concern to us that individuals working at T in the Park have not been paid, however, we need Easywaste to come to the table to make this happen.

Best regards.

Geoff Ellis
*Festival Director*

Oh dear me Easywaste looks like they have screwed right up.
Bit of buck passing by them and looks like they have got it wrong.

As said in fridays post............You have to pay the people......their contract is with you......not Big Day Out.

Go on..........somebody file for bankruptcy.........you are all now creditors.....they owe you money.

G20 Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh will host the G-20 Summit September 24-25, 2009.

President Obama will chair this meeting of leaders from countries around the world that represent 85 percent of the world’s economy.

At the Pittsburgh G-20 Summit, leaders will review the progress made since the Washington and London Summits and discuss further actions to assure a sound and sustainable recovery from the global financial and economic crisis.

But here is the kicker for ya!!!! And trust me on this 1..........there is a special well I say special but lets say instead there is an unexpected guest.

1 Muammar Abu Minyar al-Gaddafi...............the mad dog himself.
Now dont anyone say Libya is not back in the groove now.

Makes the al-Megrahi release stink even more.

Picture the scene Obama exit stage left...........Gaddafi enter stage right.

Baroness Scotland has new Cleaner recruitment drive

I am being sarcastic here.

What I am saying is that this wee green Isle of ours had best be prepared for a huge group of illegal immigrants arriving if the French and UN have there way!!!

High Commissioner for Refugees Antonio Guterres said the British government should be prepared to allow migrants with large families already in the UK to enter the country.

France has vowed to send in its army and riot police to raze the migrant camp at Calais, known as The Jungle, by the end of next week.

Immigration minister Eric Besson firmly told those using the camp: 'You will not get to England any more via Calais.'
However Mr Guterres told the BBC: 'There will be situations in which we would recommend the British authorities consider the possibility, within reason, of receiving, for instance, people who have large families in Britain and things of this sort.

'What I believe is important is that everybody that is in need of protection should be granted protection.'

No what this cretim is actually saying is bugger off out of France and go to the UK because there welfare state will be nicer to you than the 1 we have here in France.

The UK Border Agency told the BBC that details of the closure were 'matters for the French government'.
The camp has replaced official centres like Sangatte as a gathering point for migrants hoping to cross to Britain.
Riot police have already taken up positions around the 'Jungle' in preparation for the assault.

The camp's demolition is expected on Monday or Tuesday, at the end of the holy Islamic month of Ramadan.
'The majority of people living in the camp are Muslims and we would not want to offend them by launching our raid during Ramadan,' said an officer.

At present about 800 mainly Iraqi and Afghan immigrants live on the lawless patch of waste ground, waiting to board Dover-bound trains and lorries illegally.

Mr Besson said the problem of where to put the displaced migrants would be solved by 'individual solutions'.

By this he said he meant forced repatriation, an asylum claim in France, or a voluntary return to their country of origin.
But he made it clear the tough action was necessary only because Britain was so soft on immigration.

'The paradoxical situation in which France finds itself is that we're trying to protect entry to the United Kingdom,' said Mr Besson, adding that some 2,000 foreigners living rough in the Calais area was the result.
He said Britain's generous welfare benefits encourage migrants from all over the world to use his country as a springboard to cross the Channel

A few damning statement there me thinks!!

Still plenty of replacement cleaners for Ms Scotland to choose from.

T in the Park..........what a load of rubbish!!!

Hundreds of workers who cleaned up after T in the Park demanded their wages at an angry meeting last night.

Easywaste Solutions employees lived in tents for up to five weeks while tidying up after the music festival.

But boss Lloyd Gailey is refusing to pay them because he is in a dispute with festival organisers Big Day Out.

One worker, Robert Simmons, 33, said: "I feel completely humiliated.

"We spent weeks up there grafting to make sure the festival site was returned to its original state.

"We were sleeping in tents in the pouring rain for weeks to get the job done. Now we are left with nothing.

"It is a disgrace. My family are going to suffer because of this. I am a bricklayer by trade but I was made redundant a few months ago and I took this job on because I was desperate for cash."

Dad-of-two Robert was one of dozens of workers who met Easywaste boss Gailey yesterday to demand payment.

He said: "Quite a few were unemployed and signed off getting benefits for the period of the job, so they are now being left with absolutely nothing.

"I understand that Easywaste have an issue with Big Day Out but I don't see why that should affect us. I made an agreement to work for Easywaste and I would expect them to honour that.

"They are a big company and they can afford to pay my wages."

Some workers on a rate of £6 an hour are due more than £1500 after working at the site in Balado, Kinross, for five weeks.

But Gailey, 48, said: "We have not been paid what we are owed by Big Day Out and so we cannot pay the workers.

"Lots of these guys were unemployed anyway so this was just a wee extra for them."

A spokeswoman for Big Day Out insisted: "Easywaste did not fulfil the terms of their contract and a significant resource was diverted to other suppliers by Big Day Out to rectify this situation.

"We hope the contracts that these individuals have with Easywaste Solutions will be honoured."

The letter that Easywaste sent to its casual employees is scanned as an image on this post.

But as a bit of advice to Easywaste. Your employment contract with your employees can not be linked direct to the contract with "Big Day Out".
As emplyees they fullfilled their contract by turning up and working.
Legally you have to pay them.
If you cant pay them due to cash worries then you will have to declare yourself bankrupt.

All it needs is 1 employee to file against them for bankruptcy and watch them cough up cash quick style. I urge 1 of the employees to do this.

It would be interesting to see what the dispute between Big Day Out and Easywaste is.

Prepare for the mess

The release of the Lockerbie Bomber caused a shit storm.

Lots of oil deals, shaddy Mandlesnake meetings, it was Scotland not Westminster yada yada yada.

I blogged here and Fido was also very ferocious about the potential wrong conviction of al-Megrahi.

Well today same said al-Megrahi has released a 300 page dossier detailing the challenge to his conviction.

The Times has it here and not yet very juicy as they are only just out.

But prepare for the mess now, as the docs get a good looking over and some more info comes to the surface.

If I was in or an ex member of the CIA, I might be having a sleepless night or 2. Coupled with that a few UK political figures may also be restless this evening.

Looking forward to the next few days!!!!!!

Is that not an Advert for Prozac or What???

Check out the photo..........is that not an advert for Prozac or what!!!!!!!

So Marcus the Sheep is Dead

The animal was reared by pupils of Lydd Primary School but the school council voted to turn him into lamb chops to complete a project on the origins of food.

Andrea Charman, the school's headteacher, rejected promises of a home for the animal from a number of animal sanctuaries and national newspapers - and from chat show host Paul O'Grady, who already has 11 sheep at his nearby property.

She also braved a storm of criticism from parents on Facebook and in the media.

Marcus, who is understood to be with an agricultural contractor, was one of three bought for pupils to rear.

Ms Charman said the aim was to educate children about the food cycle, and that she had received support from parents, other schools with farms and the general public.

She said in a statement on Saturday: "Since the Wether lamb arrived, it has always been made clear in a tactful and factual way that lambs are meat.

"The children have had a range of opportunities to discuss this issue, both in terms of the food cycle and the ethical aspect.

"Children from Years 2 and above were given the opportunity to choose what happened to the Wether lamb.

"It was made clear that it could be kept as a pet, or sold to go for meat to raise money for the school farm to buy more animals. It was discussed in School Council. Each class had the opportunity to discuss it.

"The following week the children voted by an overwhelming majority for the lamb to be sold for meat.

"When we started the farm the aim was to educate the children in all aspects of a farm and everything that that implies."

If you have a facebook account go look at the group.....link here.
There is 1 lady on the support group who really needs to return to school herself, and start again rather than worry about the sheep.

bahahaha

I fully support the head teacher on this.
She is true to her word and has done as she said she would.

Where do kids think food comes from.?????

Apparently the raffle for Marcus is today and well I would have bought a ticket as I feel he was well looked after and with a dollop of mint sauce may have made a damn fine Sunday dinner!!!

MoD Why carry on with it as it is?????

I am being very lazy today and am quoting the whole article in the Times.

There is a very good reason for this.
When you read into this is it not actually 2 stories that both need aired independantly. See here, then see my artistic talents below to pull the 2 stories apart.

2 further examples of the contempt for our armed forces and further hiding of the shocking wasteage in the MoD.

Thousands of unfit and disabled Service personnel, including Afghanistan casualties, will be encouraged to leave the Armed Forces for civilian life under a planned efficiency drive.

Soldiers injured in war zones, many of whom rely on their regiments to find them an office-based job, will be given assistance in finding posts “more suited” to them.

The proposal is expected to cover 5,000 to 6,000 Service personnel categorised as medically unfit.

Restraints on recruitment budgets have meant that the continuing employment of servicemen who can no longer be assigned to combat roles has become a bigger problem. Nearly 1,150 Service personnel have been wounded in action in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The planned redeployment in the civilian world of unfit or disabled military personnel, under a scheme known as Welfare Pathway, generated by Kevan Jones, the Veterans Minister, is to be announced in the autumn.

Yes the same Kevan Jones.............Mr Smear.

But if you paid them proper compensation and funded the recruitment process you could retire the medically hurt and ensure the sacrifice made is not a certainly financial hinderance to the rest of there lives............but we have all blogged on this before..........what this stinks of is another labour method on the cheap.

The ministry’s treatment of Service personnel has been roundly criticised in recent months. Disputes over the level of compensation awarded to injured personnel have soured relationships and led to accusations against the Government of penny-pinching.

Last month the ministry was forced to announce a review of compensation claims for Service personnel with multiple war wounds after an outcry over a soldier who was awarded payment for only three of his 37 injuries.

Lance Bombardier Ben Parkinson, 23, who served in southern Afghanistan with the 7th Parachute Regiment Royal Horse Artillery, lost both legs and suffered serious head injuries when a landmine exploded in Helmand province last September.

Diane Dernie, his mother, threatened to take the MoD to the High Court because though her son was awarded £152,150 in compensation for his three worst injuries the assessment did not take account of all his other wounds.

So as I said Labour cheap tactics, but now comes the absolute cherry on the top.

At the same time it has emerged that more than 4,000 “out-of-work” civil servants at the Ministry of Defence have been paid full-time salaries while assigned to a “redeployment pool” — waiting for up to two years to be given new jobs in the department or elsewhere in Whitehall.

Although the MoD insisted that they continued to do “meaningful work”, a senior military official told The Times: “All they have to do is turn up and sit at a desk and fill in job applications.”

The disclosure that thousands of MoD civil servants are being paid simply to turn up and apply for jobs will embarrass Whitehall chiefs.

As at September 9, according to MoD figures, there were 879 staff in the redeployment pool, 56 of whom have been stuck there for more than two years, waiting on full pay for another assignment.

All of them had lost their jobs because the projects in which they were involved had been completed or scrapped.

The MoD said that 116 staff members had been in the pool for between 12 and 24 months, 182 for six to 12 months, and 525 for less than six months. The ministry was unable to say how much the scheme was costing. A spokeswoman said: “During the time they spend in the redeployment pool, staff are expected to turn up for work each day. The staff in the pool receive a full salary as they will be working in meaningful jobs. We have a responsibility to manage our people effectively.”

Another weapons grade example of a Labour f**k up.

Another Government U-Turn

Hats off to Fausty for his facebook campaign.

It had to be a help.

It looks like Blinky Balls is about to signal a climbdown on the CRB vetting system.

See here for original post and links to others.

Ed Balls, the Children’s Secretary, said it was "tremendously important" to ensure the “right balance” had been struck and was relevant to “real life”, as reported in the Times.

It paves the way for yet another policy reversal by the Government following embarrassing climbdowns over the 10p tax, Gurkhas, compensation for wounded soldiers, Libyan compensation for IRA victims and ID cards.

The review comes after intense criticism that the new vetting regime, which will affect at least one in four adults, is “overkill” with anyone having formal contact with children for as little as once a month falling under its scope.

That includes parents who ferry their children’s friends to and from clubs or events, such as Scouts or football, on a formal basis.

Chris Huhne, the Liberal Democrat home affairs spokesman, said: “The safety of children must always be paramount, but when a scheme designed to protect them is criticised from all quarters, including children's charities, it is clear that it has gone too far.

OK.......so looks like nother U-turn............good god the credibility is astounding.

Spin Gordy spin.

Warning for Peter Mandleson.

Safety warning for Peter Mandleson.

He might be a bit frisky after all his holiday reading........see here.

Royal British Legion...........Hypocrits

I blogged in June about the BNP and The Royal British Legion.

See Here

Now I fully supported the Legion on the stance they took and give a few quid to them regularly.

However I was certainly dismayed to read this piece this am.

THE Royal British Legion has defended its decision to accept a donation from a British National Party (BNP) member.

A spokesman said the legion had been assured by BNP member Rachel Firth, who raised money by spending 24 hours in a cardboard box, that the donation would not be exploited for partisan political activity.

He accused the party of taking advantage of Ms Firth's generosity by publicising it on the BNP website, and stressed the legion's political impartiality.

The legion originally refused the donation from Ms Firth last month because she was also raising funds for the BNP by sleeping rough. That decision was overturned after Ms Firth gave assurances that the two would not be connected.

I respect the Legion as I said but sorry.......this stinks or rank hypocracy. Particularly with regards to the stance they took on Nick Griffin.
How on earth can you keep the 2 fund raisings by the same person un-connected??????????
I feel this may come back to bite them.

When Will we need the IMF

.............to basically bail the UK out of bankruptcy.

I mean they did in 1976.

And personally if you look at the meaning of "bankrupt" and as per its meaning compare it to todays position i.e cash v cash out with assets .............you get my meaning......I think we are bankrupt now.

Well a report by the Tax Payer Alliance states that around £1.5 trillion of taxpayers' money has been squandered on an acceleration in Government spending fuelled by the economic boom, while another £1.5 trillion has evaporated in measures to tackle the recession, according to the research.

The authors claim that Government spending has more than doubled in real terms since 1997, to the extent that even if the next government tries to trim spending by 5-10 per cent, it will take years, probably even decades, to bring it back under control, and could cost upwards of a further £1 trillion.

One of the authors, Matthew Elliott, founder and chief executive of TaxPayers' Alliance, said: ''It would be easy to dismiss the figure of £3 trillion as being too big to contemplate or unreasonably high, but to do so would be to ignore the sheer scale of the financial disaster that 12 years of Gordon Brown's tax-a-lot and spend-more policies have done to the British economy.

''In the light of our analysis, £3 trillion is actually a best possible scenario and relies upon the UK making a far quicker recovery than most expect.''

Mr Elliott and management consultant David Craig say that by the end of the 2009-10 financial year, the present Government will have spent almost £1.7 trillion more in cash terms (about £1.35 trillion when adjusted for inflation) than would have been spent had Mr Brown and his colleagues kept public spending at the previous levels.

''Adding in more than £150 billion in Private Finance Initiative (PFI) projects and other schemes which the Government has kept off its balance sheet through various creative accounting techniques, you're almost up to £2 trillion in cash terms or £1.5 trillion after taking inflation into account,'' they say.

Mr Brown has taken public spending to the level reached by Harold Wilson and James Callaghan in 1976 - when the country went bankrupt and needed the IMF to bail it out, they say.

So what was that report about green shoots of recovery and coming out of recession last week.
Best get Mandleson on the case...............ooops cant he is still reading his gay porn.....see here

Stephen Farrell..............to answer your question my dear reader!

Well I opened my inbox to see an email from an avid...........well I hope avid reader of my musings.

This reader emailed on many issues but was in one hell of a mood I can tell from the tone of the writing.

However I am quoting a sentence or 2 from the email.........they wrote

And while I’m on the media rant…I thought you might have commented on this on your blog, that reporter in “A”…do you just want to kick his ass? Why are reporters where they shouldn’t be? This is not the first time of course that reporters have needlessly endangered lives of soldiers and others around them…maybe I missed something in that story, am I wrong to think the reporter is a self-centered, narcissist who got people killed?

Well to my loyal reader .............I apologise for not posting about this man.

The man of course being one Stephen Farrell, the complete arse of an individual who required a special forces rescue in Afghanistan despite being warned not to travel to the place in which he was kidnapped and who has been kidnapped before.

To rest the fears of my reader the man is a weapons grade twat of the highest order and his actions or lack of actions depending on your view point have cost the lives of an Afghan Interpretor and a British serviceman.

Farrell.......you had better not dare attempt to publish a memoir or story on your hardship!!!!!

More on this man from

Oh yes what a smell!!!!

CRB Checks...........WTF

WTF is going on.

CRB checks to make sure a parent can run your kids home from a sports club, brownies, cubs etc??????
When is this bunch of do gooding pillocks gonna catch on and stop treating us in this Stalinist way.

OK so we read this am that England Wales and Northern Ireland next month inject 11 million people into the Government’s vetting and barring scheme,to protect young people.

The current regime requires only that employers make sure that anyone working with children has not been prosecuted for offences in relation to young people.

Now all well and good in principle.

But we are now starring down the barrell of more than 11 million people — almost everyone in any position of authority who comes into contact with children — will have to be registered with the new Independent Safeguarding Authority.

This means that parents who ferry groups of children to Scouts, Brownies or after-school sports clubs will have to undergo a criminal record check or face fines of up to £5,000.

5 Grand for helping your mates out.

Now I coach a red hot mini rugby team. I am CRB checked or in the case of Scottish regimes been through a system called "Disclosure Scotland". Its the same thing.
I accept that as a coach and its club policy.

But every weekend I rely on mums dads, guardians, step parents, family mates etc, to collect and pick up my teams, ferry them all over the place, to away games, to and from home fixtures, to tournaments and competitions and sadly I see this now coming to an end.

Now before anyone says its only england Wales and N.I. let me advise that the Scotland has its own plan to comply with this statute using its Disclosure Scotland system...........so we are all in the same boat.

But good god..........what about Habaes Corpus (innocent until proven guilty).
Getting a prosecution because you helped a friend, or it was your turn on the rota.

Where the hell is the common sence in this.

I will tell you now more clubs, kids groups, cub and brownie packs are gonna go.
Kids left with nothing to do, more feral youth crime, and fat kids infront of TV because some beaurocratic ass thinks this is actually helping.

My rugby team will suffer.

Madness fucking madness.

Now this scheme was recommended by the Bichard report into the murders in Soham, Cambridgeshire, of Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman by Ian Huntley, a school caretaker. He was given the job despite claims of sex with young girls in his past, which were not passed on because they had not led to prosecution.

So if we see the system is at fault and very sadly failed these girls we plan to increase the size of the system rather than repair it. I mean it did not work, so banging 11 million more people into an already failed system means its now going to work..............No dont think so!!!

Liargate

So the elected Saviour of the World (note the word elected....Yes Gordon he is) ran into a bit of a controversial issue on Weds.

During his speech to a joint session i.e. Both the Senate and the House of Reps an individual called out that he was a Liar.

Now he was in his speech on health reform.

I have a great great friend in Iowa who keeps me abreast of all things US of A and well the health reforms is a bit of a sore subject.

We are all aware that the US is predominantly a private health care system. There are lots of critics of this system, lots of cash buys health, elite doctors yada yada.

A lot of worry exists that as the revenue will be collected via a tax system is that the potential exists for the abuse by illegal immigrants as per the NHS. And the great American public dont want to pay for that.

Personally I can empathise with that position.

However that's not the basis for this post.

The comment was said by a Republican called Joe Wilson from South Carolina. Wilson has apologised (see here) and now his future is potentially at stake(see here).

The basis is that the shock of the outburst rocked the house. It is a given that in US politics the President is applauded by all sides of the house and that definately a higher level of decorum is observed than British Politics. Anyone watching that complete farce that is PMQ's will notice the childish actions of the 646 club no matter which side of the house they are on.
The president is held in a special regard.

So the question I ask is and it is gonna cause some controversy............Bush was a cretin......but got the respect his position showed, Already Obama has been a victim of unheard of before controversy in this so...........is it partly because he is black??????

I mean the US has dealt with political change bigger than health reform before and nothing like this has happened.
The US still has a huge issue with people of colour.

Just a thought??????

An Full Analysis of the UK's Labour Run Government

REST OF THE WORLD VERSION:

The squirrel works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building and improving his house and laying up supplies for the winter.

The shivering grasshopper has no food or shelter, so he dies out in the cold.

LABOUR GOVERNMENT THE UK VERSION

The squirrel works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter. The grasshopper thinks he's a fool, and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.

Come winter, the squirrel is warm and well fed.

A social worker finds the shivering grasshopper, calls a press conference and demands to know why the squirrel should be allowed to be warm and well fed while others less fortunate, like the grasshopper, are cold and starving.

The BBC shows up to provide live coverage of the shivering grasshopper; with cuts to a video of the squirrel in his comfortable warm home with a table laden with food.

The British press inform people that they should be ashamed that in a country of such wealth, this poor grasshopper is allowed to suffer so, while others have plenty.

The Labour Party, Greenpeace, Animal Rights and The Grasshopper Council of GB demonstrate in front of the squirrel's house. The BBC, interrupting a cultural festival special from Notting Hill with breaking news, broadcasts a multi-cultural choir singing 'We shall overcome'.

Ken Livingstone rants in an interview with Trevor McDonald that the squirrel got rich off the backs of grasshoppers, and calls for an immediate tax hike on the squirrel to make him pay his 'fair share' and increases the charge for squirrels to enter inner London .

In response to pressure from the media, the Government drafts the Economic Equity and Grasshopper anti Discrimination Act, retroactive to the beginning of the summer.

The squirrel's taxes are reassessed. He is taken to court and fined for failing to hire grasshoppers as builders for the work he was doing on his home and an additional fine for contempt when he told the court the grasshopper did not want to work. The grasshopper is provided with a council house, financial aid to furnish it and an account with a local taxi firm to ensure he can be socially mobile. The squirrel's food is seized and re distributed to the more needy members of society, in this case the grasshopper.

Without enough money to buy more food, to pay the fine and his newly imposed retroactive taxes, the squirrel has to downsize and start building a new home. The local authority takes over his old home and utilises it as a temporary home for asylum seeking cats who had hijacked a plane to get to Britain as they had to share their country of origin with mice. On arrival they tried to blow up the airport because of Britain 's apparent love of dogs.

The cats had been arrested for the international offence of hijacking and attempted bombing but were immediately released because the police fed them pilchards instead of salmon whilst in custody. Initial moves to return them to their own country were abandoned, because it was feared they would face death by the mice. The cats devise and start a scam to obtain money from people's credit cards.

A Panorama special shows the grasshopper finishing up the last of the squirrel's food, though spring is still months away, while the council house he is in, crumbles around him because he hasn't bothered to maintain the house. He is shown to be taking drugs. Inadequate government funding is blamed for the grasshoppers' drug 'illness'.

The cats seek recompense in the British courts for their treatment since arrival in UK .

The grasshopper gets arrested for stabbing an old dog during a burglary to get money for his drugs habit. He is imprisoned but released immediately because he has been in custody for a few weeks. He is placed in the care of the probation service to monitor and supervise him.. Within a few weeks he has killed a guinea pig in a botched robbery.

A commission of enquiry, that will eventually cost £10,000,000 and state the obvious, is set up. Additional money is put into funding a drug rehabilitation scheme for
grasshoppers and legal aid for lawyers representing asylum seekers is increased. The government praises the asylum-seeking cats for enriching Britain 's multicultural diversity, and dogs are criticised by the government for failing to befriend the cats.

The grasshopper dies of a drug overdose. The usual sections of the press blame it on the obvious failure of government to address the root causes of despair arising from social inequity and his traumatic experience of prison. They call for the resignation of a government minister.

The cats are paid a million pounds each because their rights were infringed when the government failed to inform them there were mice in the United Kingdom .

The squirrel, the dogs and the victims of the hijacking, the bombing, the burglaries and robberies have to pay an additional percentage on their credit cards to cover losses. Their taxes are increased to pay for law and order, and they are told that they will have to work beyond 65 because of a shortfall in government funds.

THE END

A huge tip of the hat to the loyal and dare I say it controversian (but in a nice way) Gareth Quinn a follower of this page of musings.

Foulkes.................Do me a favour and just fuck off!

I do not use my blog as a swearing outlet.

But everytime I hear about the odeous turd of an individual I just reach for the Fukitol Tablets......see here.

Anyway Lord Arse Foules has been trying his best again to smear Gen Sir Richard Dannatt.

Its reported in the Times and I quote.

A Parliamentary answer to questions tabled by Lord Foulkes, the Labour peer, showed that the cost of accommodation and transport for the former Chief of the General Staff, came to almost £160,000 over the last year.

Parliamentary answers provided by Baroness Taylor, a junior defence minister, also showed that Sir Richard undertook 20 separate journeys by helicopter to visit units and attend conferences and ceremonies.

He also flew to and from Normandy for the D-Day 65th anniversary commemortaions in June.

Lord Foulkes said that the use of helicopters at a time when they are in short supply on the front line in Afghanistan was something which “raised eyebrows”.

Foukes you cretin, I would expect him to use a helicopter..............not a fully armoured Chinoock with all the gear but a ............say Jet Ranger ........something used everyday for non military operational transport.......you fat bloated arse of an individual.

Because lets be fair when he did get to Afghanistan he had so use an American helicopter because the so called 60% increase the PM said we have is STILL NOT ENOUGH.

See Here

But the Tories accused the peer of attempting to undermine a general who had been seen as an outspoken critic of aspects of Labour’s handling of defence matters.

The publication of the figures reignites a row over whether Labour attempted to “smear” Sir Richard by posing questions about his expenses.

There were claims last month that Labour had orchestrated efforts to use the Freedom of Information Act to request details of Sir Richard’s expenses in an attempt to portray him as “champagne general”, something Labour denied.

In the event the information released showed that he shopped at budget supermarkets and even shipped in cheap wine from France.

Gerald Howarth, a Conservative shadow defence minister, defended Sir Richard’s accommodation costs saying that he represented good value.

“It is a pathetic, last ditch attempt by the Labour Party in its death throes to smear and undermine somebody who has had the courage to speak out on behalf of the men and women serving under his command,” he said.

Lord Foulkes said: “I think with any public expenditure, with taxpayers’ money being spent, the taxpayer should know what it is being spent on.”

The same Lord Foules that opposed the FOI request for MP's expences. The same flabby backed individual who went on TV to defend the MP's to defend Gorbals Mick.

The same Fat arse that clashed with the BBC Carrie Graham on salaries for MP's.

He added: “I think in particular the use of helicopters for non-operational engagements was something that raised my eyebrows at a time when he has commented on the lack of helicopters in Afghanistan.”

Edward Davey, the Liberal Democrat foreign affairs spokesman, said: "This is the clearest evidence yet that senior Labour politicians have been planning a smear campaign against General Sir Richard.

"Given the expenses record of some Labour MPs and peers, this is surely a smear campaign that should backfire on them."

A smear campaign to deflect the public away from Labour and its lies, its poor equipment, its contempt for our armed forces, the death toll, the useless PM and the the 1 and only Mr 21 out of 23 Bob Ainsworth.

The public feeling towards the Afghanistan conflict is such that stories like thgis cut no ice.

The public feeling towards our government is such that stories like this cut no ice.

Roll on the departure of Foulkes.........It can not come quick enough.

Which Lady says "size does not matter"

Twenty short people were ordered to stand behind Nicolas Sarkozy so as to make him look taller while delivering a keynote televised speech.

They were bused in after being 'vetted' by aides of the French President who made sure none were taller than his own height of 5ft 5ins.

The extraordinary scenes unfolded at the Faurecia motor technology plant in Caligny, south of Caen, Normandy, last Thursday.

Mr Sarkozy looked far more statuesque than usual as he posed in front of the large group of white coated technicians on a specially erected stage.

In scenes being broadcast across France today, a woman researcher admits on camera that she was chosen because of her small size.

Asked by a TV journalist if it was necessary for her to be no taller than the President's 5ft 5ins - a height which rises to around 5ft 7ins thanks to his trademark stacked heels - she clearly replies: 'There you have it.'

Pictures are then shown of the 20 workers on board a coach which brought them in from other parts of the three mile square Faurecia site.

All admitted that they were among the smallest members of the 1400-strong Faurecia workforce, and had been selected to replace the usual workers in the unit where Mr Sarkozy made his speech about the car industry.

Mr Sarkozy, is notoriously sensitive about his height, did not want a repeat of the fiasco in June when he was caught using a footstool when delivering a speech alongside Gordon Brown and Barak Obama on one of Normandy's nearby D-Day beaches.

Former London Mayor Charged with Fraud

Although not a full blown expose by the Telegraph, and not part of their investigation into the 646 club today we see that Boris Johnsons 3rd deputy mayor Ian Clement has been charged with fraud in relation to the alleged misuse of expenses.

Clement, who resigned from his post in June, is accused of five offences under the Fraud Act, Scotland Yard said.

The 44-year-old is due to appear at City of Westminster Magistrates Court on September 8.

A spokesman for the Mayor said: "We are aware of this, but this is a matter for the Metropolitan Police and the Crown Prosecution Service."

Clement, from Crayford in Kent, was the deputy mayor for government and external relations.

He quit after allegations surfaced of "discrepancies" in his use of a corporate credit card.

Now rumours were rife as to the fact Clement had a lover who he had "entertained" on GLA expenses..............nice if you can get it.
See here for Evening Standard investigation.

Prior to serving as deputy major, he was leader of Bexley Council for two years.

Now Mr Clement has a history of well lets say keen card use. A summary of Clement's expenditure with the card reveals that between June 2007 and May 2008.he repaid £1,220.27 in "personal expenses" and accrued £2,946.58 on the card in expenses paid by Bexley.

The personal expenditure included a bill for £364.31, originally paid in Euros. This was raised by a hotel in Cologne in 28 December 2007. It also included a meal at the Oxo Tower restaurant on 13 March 2008, when he was still leader of Bexley but also giving time to Boris Johnson's campaign to become London mayor. Another bill paid using the Bexley card was for £513 at the Park Plaza in County Hall, which was the headqarters of Johnson's campaign. This was paid on 4th May 2008, two days after Johnson's victory.

Among the items Clement used the card to pay for but did not reimburse Bexley for were more than 50 travelcards bought at his local railway station, Crayford, between October 2007 and April 2008 ranging in price from £13.20 to £13.80. The months in question coincide with Boris Johnson's election campaign, in which Clement played a sometimes prominent part.

He is currently on bail.

Nigel Farage 5 Live 040909 am

Not a huge fan of UKIP.

But I do find Nigel Farage a very good orator.

Somewhat concerned about his attempt to stand against John Bercow.
Bloody safe seat Bercow has.

But 1 thing I do agree with 100% is Mr Farage comment here at this link at about 1.37 into the show.

Bang on Nigel.
Think you should have been pushed a little harder though.

Eric Joyce resignation............and HOW????

Some of the other bloggers have this, this evening.

Eric Joyce the PPS to MR 21 out of 23 Bob Ainsworth has just jacked in.

H/T to Guido, Ollie, and GOT.

What many do not know is Eric Joyce as PPS to Bob Ainsworth is also an ex-Black Watch Soldier......before he returned to University to study then move into politics.
His ties I feel may have also been his achillies heal.

Anyway his fab letter here and I quote.............

Gordon Brown MP
10 Downing Street
LONDON

3 September 2009

Gordon

As you may know, I told Bob Ainsworth some weeks ago that I intended to step down as Parliamentary Private Secretary (PPS) to the Defence Secretary before the start of the new parliamentary term. This seems to me the least disruptive time to do that. I have been privileged to work as PPS to four senior Labour ministers in four government departments and now feel that I can make my best contribution to the Labour effort in parliament by concentrating on helping, as a regular back-bencher, to show that Labour remains sound on matters of Defence.

Labour was returned to power in 1997 on the back of your great success in turning the Economy from a weakness into a strength for Labour. Our continuing success in helping people from all parts of society become more prosperous, while helping the least well-off most, is built upon that. More quietly, during the 90’s, Labour’s then shadow defence team showed how Labour had become, after the disaster of the early 1980s, ’sound’ on Defence. It seems to me that your personal success on the economy won the deal in 1997, while colleagues at Defence sealed it.

We are now, I think, once again at a critical time for Labour and Defence. The Conservatives, of course opportunistically, think they can convince the public that we have lost our empathy with the Defence community. We must not allow this to happen. I know that you have great commitment to our armed forces and this was clear when you visited Afghanistan this week, yet there seem to me to be some problems which need fixing with the greatest urgency.

As you know, two Black Watch soldiers gave their lives during your visit. I do not think the public will accept for much longer that our losses can be justified by simply referring to the risk of greater terrorism on our streets. Nor do I think we can continue with the present level of uncertainty about the future of our deployment in Afghanistan.

I think we must be much more direct about the reality that we do punch a long way above our weight, that many of our allies do far too little, and that leaving the field to the United States would mean the end of NATO as a meaningful proposition. The British people have a proud history of facing such realities. They understand the importance of the allied effort in Afghanistan/Pakistan and I think they would appreciate more direct approach by politicians. We also need to make it clear that our commitment in Afghanistan is high but time limited. It should be possible now to say that we will move off our present war-footing and reduce our forces there substantially during our next term in government.

We also need a greater geopolitical return from the United States for our efforts. For many, Britain fights; Germany pays, France calculates; Italy avoids. If the United States values each of these approaches equally, they will end up shouldering the burden by themselves. The first place to start is an acceptance this week by them, and by the Afghanistan electoral authorities, that there must be a second round in the elections there. I do not think the British people will support the physical risk to our servicemen and women unless they can be given confidence that Afghanistan’s government has been properly elected and has a clear intent to deal with the corruption there which has continued unabated in recent years.

Most important of all, we must make it clear to every serviceman and woman, their families and the British public that we give their well-being the highest political priority. Behind the hand attacks by any Labour figure on senior service personnel are now, to the public, indistinguishable from attacks on the services themselves. Conversely, in my view we should allow our service personnel greater latitude to voice their views on matters which make distinctions between defence and politics pointless.

I believe the next election is ours to win, thanks greatly to your personal great economic success. But we cannot win unless we grip defence. Above all, Labour must remember that service folk and their families are our people. We say that we honour them for their risk, bravery and sacrifice and we must at literally all costs continue to show by our actions that we mean it.

I intend to do what modest amount I can to help from the back-benches.

Yours sincerely

Eric Joyce MP

Now a couple of belting statements in that letter..............too be honest the whole thing is a belter but def a couple of corkers. Last paragraph rang true to me.

We know about the appointment of Ainsworth as the most incompetant man and his lap dog suck up to Gordon role.
Poor Equipment
Helicopters
Going to court to reduce compensation for wounded servicemen
Another serviceman loosing his life just today h/t Mr Loon

And built on Labour lies............and the contempt of our PM.

The whole ship is sinking.............the rats are leaving faster than most bloggers can type.......how much longer do we have to live with this current government.....HOW MUCH LONGER!!!!!!!

Now in veiw of current events must be red hot in the bunker this evening.

Looking over the village...................looks very quiet on the other side of the road!!

Conspiracy Theory??

Ok here's 1 for you.

Last night the Scottish Government took a wee kick up the jacksy and lost its vote on the Lockerbie Bomber release.

In a nutshell it lost the votes was said to be historic as the current SNP administration was on the wrong end of a 73 to 50 vote count in favour of amendments criticising both the justice secretary Kenny MacAskill's decision and his handling of the matter.

Lots of other stories flying around today about Scotland sending a message to the world that it did not agree with the decision to release the Lockerbie bomber.

However al-Megrahi is in Libya and no amount of chest beating is now going to change that.

But here comes the theory.

Labour has its ass in a sling right now.
But thay have most probably the most slimy individual within there ranks in 1 Peter Mandleson.
You talk to most every single Scot in the street and they all say they are totally pee'd off with the current administartions actions on this topic.

In the last general election Labour was returned to Westminster.
A simple results search show that based on England and Wales votes only there would right now be a Tory administration.
However throw in the fact we have the first past the post system and the inclusion of the Scottish results and Labour are back in the hot seat.

Now I do not want another blame the Scots thing here as that was over 4 years ago, but as I said Labour is in a mess.

Labour needs Scotland.
So add the, as I stated, Slimey hand of Lord Fondlebum, cause a political shit storm in releasing al-Megrahi and pinning the blame 100% on the Scottish administration.

Well you current get to go for a vote like last night, you get the peoples backs up saying phrases like "Scotland - Not in our name", you then get to attempt to oust for want of a better description the current administation and return Labour back to Holyrood. People hacked off, no SNP votes, Labour back as lets face it you will NEVER get a Tory administation in Scotland. Auntie Annabel is just adding to the numbers really.

Labour needs Scotland and Holyrood, and come the next general election in about 280 days time, the curent mess of Labour means every single vote is needed North and South of the Border. Plus lets face it anywhere Mandleson is you know dirty little tricks are being played.

Just a theory?????????????

A huge tip of the tip to Mr Fitaloon

US whisky sales 'will be badly hit by decision to release Megrahi'

THE Scottish Government's decision to release the Lockerbie bomber will harm sales in Scotland's biggest export market, the chief executive of the Scotch Whisky Association has warned.

According to figures from the Scottish Government, America is Scotland's leading export destination, accounting for £2.765 billion worth of sales a year.

Do you think they will be hit in the same way the Cuban cigar sales were hit when the embargo on Cuban good was brought in.

No Dont think so.

Cuban Cigars have a huge market in the USA. Admittedly brought in by the back door but a HUGE market.

Worth checking this out in 3 months time..............I will bet no change!!

3 leaders in live Debate??????

Is being reported that the prospects for Britain’s first prime ministerial television debate have moved closer after a series of meetings involving the three main political parties this summer, with Sir David Frost emerging as a possible host.

Advisers to the three parties have touted Sir David, one of the best-known political broadcasters on both sides of the Atlantic, having interviewed Richard Nixon in 1977 over the Watergate scandal, because they believe that he would be an unbiased chairman.

It would be the first time that the leaders of the Labour Party, the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats argued their policies together on live television before a general election.

It also reported that both Cameron and Clegg are well up for it. Mr B not commented. Hardly surprising.............the man is a useless orator, useless statesman, has no presence in front of a camera.............but I will have a fiver with anyone that the day before the big event, GB falls ill and Mandleson steps up to the plate!!!!
