Willie Rennie and his Devastating New Team !!

I have no time at all for the leader of the Scottish Lib Dems ............. however Munguin has spent some time reviewing the new SLD's New tiny itsty bitsy teeny weeny why even bloody bother team.

Rejected Westminster MP and Holyrood Jonnie-come-lately Willie Rennie has unveiled his “team”. Fresh from his stunning “victory” on the Fife and Central Scotland list new Scottish Lib Dem leader Rennie has at last revealed his front bench team.

Willie was reluctantly propelled into the lime light as leader of the Lib Dem group after a hard fought leadership race where he was the only candidate. He hit the ground running by promising to reaffirm his cosy relationship with Nick Clegg and Westminster pals much as he remembered it down in his halcyon days in London. Rennie had had nothing much to do after the people of Fife told him to sling his hook in the 2010 English general election. Since then he has had to slum it as an advisor at the Scottish office until a suitable billet could be found.

Orkney constituency MSP Liam McArthur will take on education and energy; North-East list MSP Alison McInnes will be responsible for health and justice; South Scotland list MSP Jim Hume will take rural affairs, environment, housing and transport; failed ex-leader and Shetland constituency MSP Tavish Scott will deal with business and the economy. Leaving Willie as Lib Dem lord high everything else and leader. Needless to say there will be no chief whip!

The line up caused some raised eyebrows as Nick Clegg was expected to fill all the other roles. But in a shock move Nick was relegated to a back seat somewhere in Downing Street.

Arriving with all his colleagues in an off yellow Mini Rennie got straight down to work asked the way to the toilet before promising to hold the SNP and Alex Salmond to account.

Dr Liam Fox

Mr Fox,

Congratulations on your party and the Lib Dems agreeing terms of your coalition.

However your appointment as Defence Secretary..............errrr...... I think sadly Mr Cameron has made an error.

Please be advised both myself and my working colleagues find you a repellent and inherently weak individual. You have been proven to be a liar over your expenses and basically I will use the word thief.

None of us are happy at your appointment and feel others are far more suited.

Again defence and our military even with a change in government, is still being proven that it is being treated with absolute contempt.

You are a disgrace as an individual, a politician and to our military.

Badly played, Nick

I suppose the ultimate question is now whether the Lib Dems can be trusted to be a stable coalition partner?

How can Clegg claim to be serious about putting the country's interests first after promising he would negotiate only with the party who won "the most votes and the most seats" and then opportunistically holding talks to ransom over a half-arsed electoral reform promise?

As Peter Oborne says today, Clegg's dragging his own fresh-politics reputation through the mud, squandering both political and public goodwill - and for what? A slightly stronger promise of a referendum that he'll lose for a voting system he doesn't want.

But most importantly, if this is a sign of things to come, with Clegg snubbing negotiations as soon as Labour offers him a scalp, the coalition for freedom won't last long.

Badly played, Nick.

Mark My Words

I will not accept Clegg doing a deal with Gordon Brown on a lie about the economy linked to Labour Leadership change in the autumn as a method of Labour to hold onto power.

They are supposed to work for us.

This is not democracy.

Anatomy Lesson for David Cameron

David the above picture is of some testicles.

See here

They are more commonly known as balls.

My advice...........GROW SOME.

Get along to No10, and get that useless bugger out on his ear.

Good god man is this what we are going to get from you???

Democracy eh!

Does not look very democratic to me.

A few suits getting together and basically playing a game of poker with me and what I want in a effort to get themselves into a new job.
A squatter who despite what his loyal servants Mr and Mrs Harman say has not won the lions share of the vote and insist on staying in No10.

CSR hits the nail on the head with his post and I quote "It remains to be seen what will happen with the hung Parliament. As we tweet, blog, text, poke and email our hopes, fears and concerns - young men from these Islands are gearing up for combat patrols in Afghanistan.

They will not be thinking of swingometers, LibLab, LibCon or Brown or Dave. They will be thinking about life as they walk into the valley of the shadow of death.

We have been told time and again they are there - fighting and dying - to bring Democracy to another nation. With a courage and dedication that humbles me they risk life and limb day after day to achieve this.

The nation has spoken and the nation has firmly rejected NuLabour. Now is the time to salvage whatever dignity and decency (if any) remain in Browns party. They must stand down. Brown must resign.

Too many troops have died attempting to give others a taste of Democracy to ignore it here. The covenant is broken - NuLabour I urge you not to spit on it."

So what do we do.

After all if I quote the 3 leaders during the farce that was the leader debates " We are the boss"..........Somehow I do not think they really mean that.

So what do we do........riot.............No we are British we will send a strongly worded email and a sharp ticking off.

Fuck me ragged.

Look the election result has achieved NOTHING. We need full hard and fast political reform in the country.
Our politics is still rotten to the core.

Tris gives these facts,
To win a seat the following votes are needed

Labour 33K
Tory 35K
Lib Dem 120K
SNP 82K

Scottish blogger young Tris so the SNP figure is for clarity to other. I envisage the Welsh folks nationalist party is not much different.

FAIR........my hairy backside it is.

The political establishment MUST be aware of the depth of feeling.
This cosy love in to find common ground is a non stater.

Full political reform is needed now.........urgently.

Otherwise politicians you may well be surprised at what happens.

Oh and then you enact the Civil Contingency Act,

Go on...........I dare you !!!

Wednesday, 21 April 2010

Maybe not the news the bunker needed this am.

Gordy goes on the attack.

First we have this !

The Independent reports that in an interview with the newspaper, Gordon Brown calls for a "progressive alliance" to keep the Conservatives out of power.

I wonder if making a policy that is the best means of fighting an election?

I mean use that rather than fight on

Police
NHS
Economy
Defence
Jobs
Foreign Policy
Schools

But say publically lets get together with the Lib Dems and f*** off the blue noses.

The the new saviour of British Politics Nick Clegg gets a sniff of the above and immediately in the Tories most supportive daily rag gives this ...... See Here...

Nick Clegg says 'desperate' Gordon Brown cannot be trusted
Nick Clegg has delivered his most outspoken attack on Gordon Brown, calling him “a desperate politician” as he signalled that he would find it difficult to do a deal with the Prime Minister in a hung parliament.

That will be another call to Nokia HQ for a new handset then !!!!

What a farce..............3 little boys, with a reheresed schpeal.

God forbid I am going to sit through the next 2.

Got some important grass that needs to be closely watched growing.

"I agree with Nick"
"Nick agrees with me"
Nick and I are in agreement"

Then join the fucking Lib Dems you pillock!!!!!!!!!!

Oh Vince.........what was that you said?

Businessmen on inflated salaries lecturing the rest of Britain on how to run the country are "utterly nauseating" and "being used" by the Conservative party, the Liberal Democrat Treasury spokesman, Vince Cable, says. Source

This is in response to the huge support from the business community to the Tories fight against the 1% rise in NI and the signatures on the letter of support.

And for the record that will be the same Vince Cable that last week was forced to apologise to the house for............well put it bluntly.......being a fucking liar.

So not much cred in what you say these days Vince so I suppose a few inflammatory statements will get you back in the papers and some much needed publicity.

And also does a group of individuals who employ in excess of a million people know less than you................. a politician. Most politicians have failed in there chosen career in the first instance..............hhhmmmmmm makes you think eh!

So come on Vince give us you fabled wisdom here......and I will us M&S as an example.

A 1% rise in NI will cost that company £11 Million. And that is before they even open a door and sell a bloody thing. Economic recover will be lead by the private sector not the public sector............so how does that add up to helping economic growth.

"utterly nauseating" You are right..............but not these businessmen I am afraid.

Despite the fact I have no time for Mrs Dale..........she does have a point

Who watched Question Time Last Night ?

What a fucking car crash for Liam Byrne.

Jeez there will be Nokias all over No.10 this morning.

Please follow this link here then go top right to watch again.

Get a coffee and sit down.

On the panel were Chief Secretary Treasury and Unite member Liam Byrne MP, the Conservative Shadow Minister for Communities Baroness Warsi, the Liberal Democrat communities spokesman Julia Goldsworthy MP, the First Minister of Scotland Alex Salmond and businessman Sir Martin Sorrell.

Julia Godsworthy tried to make it a party political broadcast on behalf of the Lib Dems but quite easily forgot only last week 3 senior Lib Dems were found gulity as part of the MP expences scandal.

Baroness Warsi was weak, ill informed and not a good orator at all.

Big Eck was in superb form..........and I can see why the Westminster leader did not want him at the leaders debates (yes despite them now being a PM debate as he would destroy all 3).

Martin Sorrell was superb, well informed , factual and picked his words and moments to speak accurately and cleanly. Well a man of his position, and proffessional ism would as I expect. All politicians could learn from him.

However as described in the blogosphere Liam Byrne the Treasury attack dog (bwahahahahahahahahaha) not last night he was not.
He was useless. Big Eck nailed his knackers to the wall on Badger Darlings budget and his thursday comments "about cuts worse than under Mrs T".
All panelist clearly had him on Byres, Hoon and Hewitt.
His comments on defence and Afghanistan were ill informed and factually incorrect.

And the great thing I thought was the audience...........Glasgow is a strong militant and Labour heartland. Indeed many union movements owe there upbringing to the workers of Glasgow. However the people were having none of it. they clearly expressed and stated there displeasure at the parties, the lack pof policy, the mess the country is in and the fact they all view ploitics as sleazy, dirty and a mass gravy train.

Liam Byrne was a disaster last night. As the attack dog so to speak, Chief bitch in the Treasury you mean..........that was a weak performance and more likely to turn voters away from Labour than onto them.

Meet Paul Holmes MP for Chesterfield

Reproduced with Kind Permission from Ollie Cromwell at his now famous "you've been cromwelled" site

Well worth a visit

A few weeks ago an “interested party” passed on some information to me which stated that Paul Holmes MP for Chesterfield may have fiddled his expenses. After a bit of investigation I’m inclined agree to an extent. Even if it so happens that Mr Holmes has not fiddled his expenses he sure has taken the taxpayer for a good old ride… without the necessary lubrication.

Let me deal with the alleged fraudulent activity first. Mr Holmes rents an office in his constituency, we the taxpayer fund his rental expenses, just like we do with any other MP’s office. Through the landlord of said office Mr Holmes pays rent, and he also pays an insurance premium which I assume insure the premises should any damage be caused etc. A while back Mr Holmes’ office was flooded and was damaged it seems quite extensively, however instead of claiming the damages on insurance would you like to guess who paid for those damages? Do you really need an answer to that question? Yes we did. The taxpayer. Now based on this MP’s previous behaviour which I’ll deal with further down, the insinuation is this:

That Mr Holmes not only charged the taxpayer for the expense of renovating his office, but he also claimed the damages on insurance, thereby getting two lots of money. This is insurance fraud. What’s that I hear you say? I’m being a little brazen with my accusations? Yes. There is a reason. I put my concerns in a an email which was sent to Mr Holmes and Mr Nick Clegg his party leader weeks ago asking them both to clarify what exactly has happened you can see a copy of the mail on the MP Responses page of this site. In fact I’ve been pestering Mr Clegg via Twitter and Facebook asking him to help me get some sort of closure on this matter.

The silence has been deafening. So Mr Holmes until you can prove that you have not claimed twice for those damages, this is me accusing you of fraudulent activities and upon receiving that proof I will retract this post and issue an apology. Oh by the way I have also laid an official complaint with the Parliamentary Standards Commissioner, here’s the reference: Ref: PCS 352 2009-10. I’ve also let the Insurance Fraud Bureau know.

Apart from the alleged fraud above, let me demonstrate why I think this MP is literally on the take. Firstly digital cameras. Mr Holmes has claimed for 4 in his time as MP. His justification? One for the constituency office, one for the parliamentary office and one for the car. That’s bad enough, then we get the nepotism which seems rampant in political circles. Mr Holmes has employed both his wife and daughter throughout his tenure. Now for the biggy.

The Dolphin Estate was a complex of apartments that a few MP’s lived in (Including Mr Holmes) and the taxpayer took care of the rent for them. A while back the Dolphin Estate was purchased by a private company and they offered it’s tenants either a lump sum to leave, or they could stay put but pay a higher rate of rent. Mr Holmes opted for the former so moved out and received a lump sum of almost £10 000. He rightfully paid capital gains tax on that amount, but the issue is this. Why did he receive that lump sum and not the taxpayer? After all it was us that paid the rent for him. If you’re not seething now… there’s more.

Six months after moving out of the Dolphin Estate, guess what? Yes that’s right Mr Holmes moved back in. So now the taxpayer is ten grand out of pocket AND paying the higher rate of rent for Mr Holmes. See Mr Holmes in our eyes you have form and until you can prove otherwise, you’re a thief!

Paul Holmes consider yourself Cromwelled!

Willie Rennie MP

2010/1/7 TLOTF

A very poor posting this I am afraid.
A standard politician responce and clearly blaming the army.

Please see this link here.....................oh dear cant link as you dont
allow it. So therefore not allowing evidence to the
contrary.........typical.

You as a civillian and an appointed Lib Dem Def spokesman have again shown
your weakness.
You have zero exp and knowledge of the workings of military matters.
You have your whitehall job to go on.

If you read the link you will see where the core of the issue is when it
comes to spending.
Do not use the military internal rank structure as part of your political
agenda.

As a def spokesperson for the Lib Dems investigate the MOD and give
comments on that fat bloated department.

I will bet Bob Ainsworth is not too worried by this man at all........and Bob sets a standard like no other

Spot the Difference

No neither can I.

Willie Rennie MP............My local member of the 646 club and claimer of £450.00 quid food allowance.

(Yes I know its only £400.00 but gotta love him for trying)

Also note I was being nice with the joker picture............I had 1 of a c....no never mind.

He is a Lib Dem Defence Spokesman........ooops person gotta be PC here.

Well read this pile of pure shit and see what I mean.

I commented as you will see.........sorry once it goes through moderation but me thinks it might not.

Anyway I very politely (yes I am lying now) asked him to visit this link.

Typical cheap shot comment politician.
But he is a Lib Dem 3 placed politican and of the same class as Bob Ainsworth by the quality of his posting.
Poor, unresearched, weak, and not pertaining to the def spending issue at all.

He will be handed to the GOT and All Seeing Eye for a special award.

I await him blocking me now.

Britain - A new corrupt Country

For 1 thing I did not realise such a table or chart existed.

But as reported in the Telegraph Britain has slipped to a 11-year low in an annual ranking of the world’s most corrupt countries in the wake of the MPs’ expenses scandal.

Well fuck me sideways, so basically a country of best part of 60 million has been pnted down this chart by the actions of the 646 club and a few Lords.

The annual “corruption index” from Transparency International - which has been published since 1995 - found that Britain had slipped one place to 17th out of 180 countries.

Transparency International gave the UK a Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) score of 7.7. Before 2008, the UK's score had never slipped below 8.

The non-governmental organisation, which is based in Berlin, blamed the poor showing on a collapse in confidence in politicians triggered by the MPs’ expenses scandal.

Chandrashekhar Krishnan, executive director of Transparency International UK, said the Parliamentary Standards’ Commissioner should be on call “24-7” to advise on best practice while MPs should receive “ethical training in their jobs.

He added: “The UK should be aspiring to a CPI score which puts it in the top ten – not struggling to make the top 20. It should demonstrate that its own house is in order before exhorting developing countries to improve their governance.”

The report suggested that all MPs commit to the Seven Principles of Public Life: selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty and leadership. If they broke them they should be expelled from their political party.

OMG
That last statement..................I cant stop laughing and its no laughing matter.

They are still uncovering blatant troughing.
The political classes are still saying "errr family pressure must stand down"
George Foulkes is still shooting his fat mouth off.
The Kelly recommendations is still a white wash smoke screen of an effort.

And we like mugs still have the same bunch of theiving bastards and will vote them back in.

Friday, 13 November 2009

Victory is Mine.....................HAHAHA

It reminds me of the old statement.

"Never underestimate the power of Stupid People in large numbers"

But a 33% turnout is not good.

Still you will always be retuned when you fight over a constituency with the worst social stats, on housing, drugs, unemplyment, health, education anywhere in the country and by feeding the voters with bloated handouts that make them dependant no you

Where you can be elected by scaring the voters that the giro's will come to an end if anyone else gets the hot seat.

But hats off to labour............and to Mr Bain I mean as you said Willie a vote of confidence in Gordon Brown and the Labour Parties great preparations for the next General Election.........Bwhahahahahahaha

Too be fair any monkey in a Red Rosette whould win Glasgow NE.

Photo:- Gordon Brown congratulates Willie Bain on Glasgow NE victory!!

But my my.

Who would be a Lib Dem I mean 6th.

474 votes only.
Came in behind the BNP and Tommy Sheridan.
Also note the Tories, the bloddy Tories in Scotland polled more than 2.5 times the number of votes than the Lib Dems.
However we should not be surprised, when can anyone else name a time when a political party actually lost support in the polls after its annual conferance.

That closing speech of Nick Clegg must still be ringing in the ears of Glasgow NE voters. I am still laughing at it today.

But this is not an anti-Lib Dem rant.
That comes later as Willie Rennie prepares for the G.E.

The Wardog blog makes a scary point and I quote below:-
It would be interesting to see the demographic of those that voted, Glasgow City Council reported over 6000 registered postal votes, a rise of some 2000 over the last two months which accounts for 30% of votes cast, surely some kind of record in there too.

Equally chilling is the revelation that over 4000 extra voters have been added to the electoral register in the last month, accounting for 25% of those that voted.

Smell a rat anyone???????

Personally crappy campaign by David Kerr and the SNP.
You got trumped 3:1
You should have done a damn site better.

You were the only real alternative.

Annabel Goldie and her lying Eton boss were no challenge to you.

Seriously Alec and Nicola need a damn good re-think.

It proves though that any vote in Scotland other than the SNP is basically a vote for the labour party. (Thats not me giving my political voting forward that is me giving an election fact)
The last GE tells us that as well.
The Labour Party is actually in power now because they took Scotland.

F*** do my fellow countrymen have something to answer for.

MPs hijack expenses

When are the 646 Club going to realise that actions such as this are further destroying any aspect of public support they once thought they had.
Their contempt for the public is beyond reasonable.

Sir Christopher Kelly’s Committee on Standards in Public Life invited the public and politicians to set out their views before a report that is expected to propose far-reaching reforms in October.

This in the wake of the expenses scandal.

However the trough piggies are still upset.

And as a result the MPs are trying to hijack the expenses inquiry with complaints and demands for pay rise.

Some are saying they may quit.

This on the back of

Margaret Becketts latest tears

Check out the Times article here

I have Upset Willie Rennie MP

Oh dear have I???

Well Mr Rennie I AM going to question more.

Following on from this post.........I said I would.

So why dont you post some credible info.
Stop hiding behind sources you can not name.
And please answer the 21K expenses issue outstanding with regards to the rent on your property.

Go have a little look at the comments here...........I only asked a question

MP's Expenses............I dont believe this.

Did anyone see this go through the house yesterday????

I only got to see it late last night and I felt a wee Edradour was needed to take the edge off the sting I felt.

I quote below:-

"Shortly before MPs rose for their 82-day summer break, a rule change was slipped through allowing them to claim a new subsistence allowance without any proof of expenditure. The £25 a night payment means that MPs could, in theory, claim up to £9,000 a year without submitting a receipt of any kind – and it is payable on top of the £15,000 a year they are now allowed to claim for the mortgage or rental
of a second home."

DO WHAT???

Since the Telegraph broke the expenses story several months ago we have heard it all from the parties.
Rule changes!!
Restore public confidence!!
British Political wake up call!!

John Brecow the new speaker would lead from the front and what do we find out. He bloody rubber stamped it.

Every party has insisted that honesty and transparency is essential if MPs are to regain the trust and respect of voters. So what happens? A rule change is sneaked out with no publicity allowing MPs to claim even more money without showing they have incurred any expense.

This episode suggests not just that MPs still fail to appreciate the level of public disgust at their behaviour, but that they simply do not care. While they should be bending over backwards to restore their standing, they are offering the public a brazen two-fingered salute.

One last ride on the gravy train anyone before it finally comes off the tracks?!?!?!

Willie Rennie MP

The MP's expences although not gone away certain has lost some its more titilating stories this last week or so......

Until now..............and Oh dear me Willie.
what have you been up to.

Well it might not mean much to my readers but this gent in question is the rather odeous Willie Rennie (left photo).
Lib Dem for West Fife and my local member of the much worshipped 646 club.
He shares an office and staff with the Lib Dem MSP Jim Tolson (right photo).

I make it a point of visiting Mr Rennie and Mr Tolsons surgeries. Why not they are my elected members and as such IMHO "work for me". I pay their wages and expences.

Mr Rennie is a very short fused chap, gets a bit hot under the collar when pushed, and once he gets to realise who you are, likes to ignore people.

When the Telegraph published its revelations and the black block out MP's redacted docs where published I made it my personal attention to review this gents. However nothing seemed out of place. No Jim Devine thats for sure. Ok I admit Willie Likes his £400.00 per month food claims, a couple of printers, few £1.20 car park tickets (is it worth the effort) but all looked fine.
I was let down...........no dirt to rake through.

Until Now!!!

A sleaze probe is to be held into expense claims made by a Liberal Democrat MP who paid his local party £14,000 for an office which cost them half that to lease.

John Lyon, the parliamentary standards commissioner, has agreed to Labour Party calls for an investigation into the rental arrangements of Willie Rennie, the Lib Dem MP for Dunfermline.

Last month, it emerged that Rennie and fellow Lib Dem MSP Jim Tolson had paid a total of £21,000 in rent to the local Lib Dems who paid just £7,050 to lease the property in the Fife town.

Now I know party funds are a bit tight but come on!!!!

Great radar back on........and back on target.

H/T to Jeff
