Do you think I should apply???
The University of Leeds is advertising for a lap dance researcher.
The advertised position, in the School of Sociology and Social Policy, is for: “Research Officer - The rise and regulation of lap dancing and the place of sexual labour and consumption in the night time economy”.
The advertisement further stipulates that “prior experience of conducting research in the female sex industry” is essential.
Haha errr well maybe so
Having got the post, the successful applicant would work with the school's team on a research project to examine the “rise, tolerance and integration of sexual consumption and sexual labour displayed through the erotic dance industry”, and the commercialisation of female sexuality and the female body.
It hopes to determine where dancers are recruited from and what their working conditions are like, as well as examining how erotic dancing has become a “mainstream” entertainment, available on the high street of most British cities.
The researchers will interview 300 erotic dancers in two northern English towns, as well as other industry figures including manage and regulators.

And dont anybody say that this posting was an gratuitous excuse the search the interweb for pics of pole and lap dancers to assist my post.
This blog is mine, my thoughts, my moods my musings. Comments are welcome and un-moderated however vile comments, verbal abuse of others, will be removed.

SPY Boss Talks Afghanistan
During the Peter Nailor Memorial Lecture on defence, Sir Richard Dearlove, former head of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) gave a terse but incisive assessment of the Afghanistan situation from the UK point of view.
"The British Armed Forces have been under-resourced, as a result of an eight year squeeze on defence spending by the Treasury", he stated.
He also accused the Government of failing to explain adequately to the public why Britain was at war.
"This country's leadership has failed to explain satisfactorily what we are trying to do. Until recently, it has been at best half hearted. The Taliban will up the pressure if they think the West is wavering, to force withdrawl. For a satisfactory negotiated political exit, the military and political positions need to be secure. If this is done from a position of weakness, the consequences and costs to this country are likely to be far greater than those currently being borne by this country."
He went on to differentiate between the Taliban, a militant Pashtun nationalist movement seeking a Pastunistan (which might incorporate parts of Pakistan, and reflects a plan considered by the British before Partition in 1947 but discarded under pressure from Jenna) and Al Qaeda, a nihilistic group with no realistic political aims (radical; uncompromising; unrestrained).
He stated though that "Pakistan is both part of the problem and part of the solution. But some Pakistan military officers still see India as a bigger threat than radical militant Islam."
Apparently a very clear, incisive and thought out speech. He covered the budget which we all know has been never at the forefront of Labour thinking and the contempt the Labour administration shows for our armed services. He covered history, political thinking and strategy.
However he saved his sledge hammer until the end!!!
And I quote
"This is a good moment for the UK to start correcting the deficiencies, and almost all of this can be done at a political level. But the reason for change looks rather more like political damage limitation, than vigorous belief in the policy."
WOW
However this morning A Downing Street spokesman said: "We have consistently increased funding for the mission in Afghanistan year by year in recent years.
"The Prime Minister and other Cabinet ministers continue to explain and make the case publicly for the mission."
Indeed Labour lies before British lives

Couple of Quick Facts !!!!
The Government still have a veto on any document being published.........so basically if they dont want you to see it they wont.
Chilcot has posted NO Docs on the Inquiry web site. (at least Hutton in his whitwash effort did daily)
There is a 1 minute censored delay in the enquiry when you go to listen live!!
- Therefore ensuring you dont actually get to hear either what the government dont want you to hear.
So basically............Whitewash!!

What the Supreme Court Ruling actually means for the Average Person
You know,
Man in the street,
You me and the others whos taxes bailed out the banks.
The banks who the government lent 61 Billion Quid to in November 2008 and tried to keep it quiet.
Now having done that we then went into the "unprecidented financial situation" which did give rise to the big bail out, but no one could predict it???
Bollox.
Anyway back on topic............ what the court ruling actaully means..........pretty simple i would say!!

Cuts showing in Business
Whats the official statement???
You know............everytime we re-patriate a serviceman back to the Uk??
Everytime a family member dares to say that the death was avoidable we need more equipment for the troops.
The statement is "The Government is doing everything in its power tospeed up the procurement of equipment for our armed Forces"......or words to that effect.
On the plus side you would have thought that a war regardless of its motives would have a positive effect for certain industries.......................WELL NO.
Today it was announced that the Defence group Qinetiq will fall short of its earlier profit expectations, blaming delays to large contracts from the UK government and continued uncertainty over US policy in Afghanistan.
Well you can read a bit more Here in the FT.
Kind of shows that all the cack that spouts from The 1 eyed mentallist and Bob the Knob Ainsworth about "doing all they can" to be just that...........spouted cack.
In the words of the great Malcolm Tucker ..............Gordon "fuckity bye"

Hugh Orde........Labour Luvvie
Sir Hugh Orde..........former Metroplitain Police........former Chief Constable of Northern Ireland........and now Head of ACPO.
The Chief police officers piss up club.........we here in Scotland have ACPOS.
In an interview with the BBC Radio 4 Today programme, he said it was ''absolutely critical'' that they were operationally independent in terms of how they delivered policing in their areas.
But they are not..........we see that every day.
Damian Green affair.
MP expenses.....and dont think yesterdays piggies files will actually turn into something.
Brazillian sparkies on trains.
Harriet Harman car smash..........again dont think anything will come of it.
The Conservatives are committed to directly-elected commissioners with wide powers to hire and fire chief constables and to set budgets and policing priorities in England and Wales.
Sir Hugh, the former Northern Ireland chief constable who took over as Acpo president earlier this year, insisted that there should be no perception of political influence in policing.
''Operation independence is absolutely critical,'' he said. ''Even the perception that the police service of this country - a British style of policing which is so important - is under any political influence, I think that suggests you cannot argue that you are a proper democratic society. It's as simple and as stark as that.
''We should not be influenced by anyone who has any potential or suggestion for a political basis.''
Sir Hugh suggested that some chief officers would resign rather than accept the Conservative plans.
''I would not be surprised to see chief officers not want to be part of a system where they can be told how to deliver policing,'' he said.
Asked if he would quit, he said: ''I don't, sadly, have a police service anymore. But if I was a chief officer and was subject to direct political control, I absolutely would.''
We need an elected body.
The police need to be accountable.
They currently are not.
They are loose canons who shot folks on trains, beat the crap out of newspapaer sellers, allow feral youth to run neighbourhoods.
They get crapped on by government paperwork and targets.
When an elelcted body who was responsible to the people would theoretically ensure that the wishes of the people would be carried out.
Oh stupid me thats what the 646 club was about.
I am talking out my arse again aren't I???
A Very Sad Day
Today marks a milestone.
Not a good 1 but rather a very sad 1.
Today a C17 Galaxy will arrive at RAF Lyneham and the town of Wootton Bassett will again show its customary respect and humility it has become WORLD famous for as the cortege passes through.
The milestone...........the 100th repatriation ceremony.
If I may quote a certain Dr John Reid who serves as Defence Secretary "That the troops would be home without so much as a shot being fired".
Well you Labour fuckmonkey 100 repatriation ceremonies and 235 military deaths later, want to take your ill thought words back???
How many more????
God rest em!!
Subrosa, and VotR all have the same video.........worth a look.
You might need a tissue.

Another U Turn
Lets cut to the chase!!!
Yesterdays Queens Speech was nothing more than a cheap Labour Manifesto/Electioneering shot in preparation for the 2010 GE.
A complete waste of time.
Full of hot air and no substance and basically no chance that it would make it to the statute books.
What they did do was make huge noise about bankers bonus and basically highlight the vote winners of common man "so they think" or basically someone who does not realise that Labour helped and encouraged bank risk and bonus, as they have arse raped our manufacturing industry to the point where financial services are our mainstay.
They trot out Harperson with the same old retoric that its "un-precidented, unforseen" financial circumstances, world economy.............oh shut up, you are just regurgitating old party lines.
Just quickly before I move on..............as part of the speech which is about statute going forward the bank deficit was mentioned. So in theory if what they said did go trough and the bank deficit was not reduced.........DO I have a legal recourse againt the government??????? Just a thought!
Anyway........ask any man in the street what was the headline story of 2009 and I would guess they would say MP' Noses in the trough. The expenses scandal.
And what was in the speech about same said expenses.............Yep NOTHING!!!!
The single event that has rendered British Politics and the Body Politic itself, utterly shredded and in tatters.
Never has confidence been so low.
I wonder why...........maybe this here has something to do with it. The 6 piggy trougher who the rozzers have prepared files for the CPS on.
But wait as reported here, whilst being tackled by the opposition it seems our PM has got himself into ANOTHER U-TURN.
He has now this am said he will table legislation to curb expenses.
Oh the credibility of this man.............the world standing..............the high regard he is held in........roll on the GE.
It trust Fido and Subrosa on their blogs will further enhance this story and using their blog libraries can embellish on some of our illustious PM's other famous U-Turn.

Why did Major Hasan do it????
On 5 November, Major Nidal Malik Hasan killed 13 people at a military base.
In the US, this event has already become deeply and divisively political.
But why???
Its still not entirely clear what his motives were. Some stress that he was an Islamic religious extremist. Others that he was angered by the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, and may have been victimised for this faith.
Some broad thoughts:
Militant religious extremism regardsless of the religion and I am not pointing fingers directly at Islam, can find a grievance if it wants one.
If its not Iraq, or Afghanistan, its East Timor, or Chechnya, or Palestine, or the Sudan, or forced marriage, or circumcision, or divorce, or headscarves, or heresy, or apostasy, etc.
But wars can very powerfully energise ideologies.
Clearly, radicals can be motivated even if we are not ‘over there’ en masse.
Yet that doesn’t mean the current wars are irrelevant. It seems highly unlikely that being at war is irrelevant to the momentum and will of people who kill for ideology..
Does that in itself mean that we shouldn’t fight these wars? I have always been uneasy with this line of argument. By definition, being at war does invite hostility on oneself. Australia could have forestalled Al Qaeda’s anger by not supporting East Timorese independence. We in Britain could have prevented the carnage of the Blitz by reaching a diplomatic settlement with Hitler, but that doesn’t mean it should have or that it would have been wise or prudent.
What however we should not do though is fight a war based on lies and mistruths.
And sadly that is an issue we face today.
If armed force is one necessary way to disrupt and weaken the capability of highly seasoned and expert killers who are at large ‘over there’, then it isn’t necessarily wrong to wage war, even if one cost is that it fires up radicals at home.
The question being was Afghanistan really a harbour for terrorism to spread to the West, to our soil.
This we will never actually full know but I feel Pakistan dos have several questions itself that need answered.
The overwhelming majority of attempted terrorist attacks on home soil fail or are prevented. Would it be better not to fight abroad, leaving domestic radicals less angered, but the most hardened terrorists far more free to operate? There are difficult tradeoffs here.
Whatever one thinks about that problem, it still seems clear that expeditionary wars do bring this cost attached, and that this must be factored into our decisionmaking. As a matter of causation, war does often radicalise, and not being at war in these countries would probably have made Major Nidal Malik Hasan less likely to carry out this killing. Not impossible, but less likely.
This isn’t about our intentions. I agree that the US and its allies do want to leave behind a stable, democratic and prosperous society in Iraq and Afghanistan, that this isn’t intended to be some kind of bloody-minded assault on Islam. The reasons for this may well be economic for the West, but a reason non the less.
A glance at the history books shows that the UK and America has very often fought on the side of Muslim populations against their enemies, and a country that was determined to annihilate Islam would not go to the trouble of extensive humanitarian effort, from earthquakes in Pakistan to tsunami relief to billions in aid to Egypt, nor would it take in so many Muslim immigrants, many of whom have made proud lives.
And yet it is easy for radical clerics and propagandists to portray the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan as unjust attacks on Islam. There is so much footage to be manipulated, so much unintended killing of civilians, so many images of foreigners patrolling foreign soil. Whether we like it or not, this is a propaganda dream.
Back to Major Hasan......
Does this mean there is a domestic insurgency underway in the United States?
People will disagree on definitions. But one horrific shooting spree does not make an organised, sustained armed uprising. I base this not only on the assumption that concepts like ‘insurgency’ should be delimited to have coherent meaning. Its also on the assumption that the vast majority of Muslims are strongly against blowing people up. So before we rush to the excited conclusion that this is evidence of a domestic revolt, lets beware of characterising a mass of ordinary, unremarkable, human beings in our midst as potential fifth columnists.
The real difficulty with this case is that it has so quickly been wrapped up in the toxic politics of the ‘culture wars’, the ongoing and bitter struggle over the nature of American society, and the origins of violence within and against it. The simple question, ‘why did he/ they do it’ is now so ideologically loaded, that it is hard to tackle in a cold and analytical way.
I dont think we will ever know.
But the propogandists will continue to feed.
An extract from King College London War Faculty Dr Patrick Porter with my own twist.

So lets clear this up then.
Jensen Button. F1 World Champion.
hats off to you.
But
This time last year you were facing no drive, no job as Honda has said "sorry we are skint".
Then they pleaded with a certain Mr Ross Brawn.
The same said Ross Brawn who guided both Benetton and Ferrari to multiple titles.
The man who is unversally recognised as the brain behind every team he has worked for. A fine CV.
You took a huge pay cut just to be on the grid.
And off we went with the 2009 season.
Good start Jensen............no one could touch you.
Lewis who I heard you cry!!!!
But then they did.
From about the middle of the year onwards you started to get caught.
You started not loosing.
Indeed you car improved but the others did, just a bit more.
But you triumphed, you won congratulations.
World Champion.
So lets cut to the chase.
If Lewis Hamilton was in that car you would be nothing.
And now due to the work of Ross Brawn you think you can just blackmail him into a stupid motherfucker of a pay rise because you are World Champion.
I mean lets be fair in the multiple race you ever entered before RB came along you were only a winner in Hungary several years ago..............ONCE.
Hardly fabby stats are they.
But hey lets try a screw Ross for cash.
Lets go to Maclaren and team up with Lewis.
Do you not think that side by side with Lewis in equal cars you will be made to look like the half baked driver who just got lucky that you actually are.
And now Merc close their deal with Maclaren give or take the terms I agree, and they then take over Brawn.
They keep Ross as the boss because lets be fair the best engines and the best brains in F1 must be kept together. And ok ok say Maclaren will still have Merc donks but lets face it why would they give them special treatment and the best equipment over and above their own team.
Hmmmmmmm
Makes me wonder.
So in a nut shell you keep whoring yourself about.
Making stupid salary demands.
Trying to blackmail you old bosses.
After all they have no contract with you anymore.
I hope they dont take you back and get a new guy (Vettel) who also would wipe the floor with you.
You media whore tosser of an individual.
As a result you will be handed over to my blog friend G.O.T and The Eye at there special blog here to gain 1 of his most special awards.
Look forward in seeing you get it.
Love ya Bye!!!!
Britain - A new corrupt Country
For 1 thing I did not realise such a table or chart existed.
But as reported in the Telegraph Britain has slipped to a 11-year low in an annual ranking of the world’s most corrupt countries in the wake of the MPs’ expenses scandal.
Well fuck me sideways, so basically a country of best part of 60 million has been pnted down this chart by the actions of the 646 club and a few Lords.
The annual “corruption index” from Transparency International - which has been published since 1995 - found that Britain had slipped one place to 17th out of 180 countries.
Transparency International gave the UK a Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) score of 7.7. Before 2008, the UK's score had never slipped below 8.
The non-governmental organisation, which is based in Berlin, blamed the poor showing on a collapse in confidence in politicians triggered by the MPs’ expenses scandal.
Chandrashekhar Krishnan, executive director of Transparency International UK, said the Parliamentary Standards’ Commissioner should be on call “24-7” to advise on best practice while MPs should receive “ethical training in their jobs.
He added: “The UK should be aspiring to a CPI score which puts it in the top ten – not struggling to make the top 20. It should demonstrate that its own house is in order before exhorting developing countries to improve their governance.”
The report suggested that all MPs commit to the Seven Principles of Public Life: selflessness, integrity, objectivity, accountability, openness, honesty and leadership. If they broke them they should be expelled from their political party.
OMG
That last statement..................I cant stop laughing and its no laughing matter.
They are still uncovering blatant troughing.
The political classes are still saying "errr family pressure must stand down"
George Foulkes is still shooting his fat mouth off.
The Kelly recommendations is still a white wash smoke screen of an effort.
And we like mugs still have the same bunch of theiving bastards and will vote them back in.

Errr Gordon, Is this man the right Stuff for a Labour Candidate
A Labour election candidate has called the Queen a Parasite and vermin.
Peter White used Facebook to express his feelings about the monarch to Tory MP Andrew Rosindell.
Mr White is contesting the South Hornchurch council ward in Havering next year.
The former election agent in Romford made his comments as he condemned plans to mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee in 2012.
Mr Rosindell last week presented a bill calling for a national holiday to coincide with the anniversary.
South Hornchurch is in the constituency of Dagenham and Rainham, currently held by Labour's Jon Cruddas.
Mr White wrote: "What is the point of celebrating the Diamond Jubilee of someone who is born into a position of privilege, she is a parasite and milks this country for everything she can.
"She has more front than Margate asking for extra money from the civil list. Maybe she should sell a couple of her properties.
"Maybe if she wants Buckingham Palace to be maintained from public funds she should open it to the public.
"Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with a public holiday but lets [sic] have one that means something, rather than celebrating vermin."
Romford MP Mr Rosindell said he was "disgusted" by Mr White's remarks.
He told Sky News Online: "I think for someone holding a responsible position in the Labour Party to state publicly that the Queen is a parasite and vermin is most outrageous and disgusting.
"He wrote the comments on my Facebook and immediately dozens of people started slating him.
"He tried to justify himself but he quickly removed the post. I think he's gone to ground."
Mr White today appeared to stand by his remarks.
"Maybe you could say I went too far, but that's for other people to judge," he told the London Evening Standard.
"I think that Republicanism is a valid viewpoint and there are plenty of people who agree with me."
A London Labour Party spokesperson said: "Peter White has been summoned to a meeting with key members of the local party and officers from the London Regional Labour Party.
"He will be required to explain his comments and they will consider his future."
Now I am not stating my position on the monarchy but if you are a Labour Candidate for a seat and you get elected then you become a member of Her Majesty's Government.
You also swear an oath to the Crown do you not.
So Gordon............your thoughts on this matter?????
Oh nothing eh! Why Mandleson not told you what you can say yet?

More Piggies at the Trough
You just cant make up the blatant "its within the rules" snout nosed troughing can you.
A Labour baroness has received £150,000 in expenses by renting a country cottage from a Conservative colleague in the Lords and saying it was her main home.
For seven years Baroness Whitaker, a former civil servant, rented the property which is on a driveway leading to Lord Renton’s mansion in the Sussex Downs.
Renton, the former Tory chief whip, only occasionally claims overnight expenses when he has to live in London to attend the House of Lords.
Whitaker has been claiming more than £20,000 a year even though she owns — rather than rents — a £1.5m property in an area of north London where she has lived since the 1960s.
Lords can claim an allowance of £174 per night which is intended to help them meet the cost of accommodation in London if they live outside the capital.
Whitaker insists that her expenses claims were made properly as she had moved out of London to live in the country after her husband retired.
She is a 73-year-old former magistrate who worked for the Health and Safety Executive and was vice-chairwoman of the Independent Television Commission.
When she became a life peer in 1999 she used her home town of Beeston in Nottinghamshire in her title.
She said at the time: “Although I live in London now, I still have an affinity with Nottinghamshire. That’s why I chose to be Baroness Whitaker of Beeston rather than Hampstead.” She and her husband have lived in their flat in north London since 1998. They own two floors in a spacious terraced house. A flat next door sold for £1.7m in July this year.
However, when the Lords first published details of expenses, Whitaker said her main home was in “East Sussex”.
After initially renting a property on the Firle estate near Lewes, which Whitaker designated as her main home, they were offered the use of a three-bedroom cottage owned by Renton. Whitaker’s husband Ben, a former Labour MP, had been a friend of Renton since childhood and they moved in.
They used the cottage, while also living in London, for seven years before switching to another property in Sussex this year. Whitaker had claimed £150,000 in overnight expenses while saying Renton’s cottage was her main home and had claimed another £20,000 while previously renting Firle Tower and the new property.
During this time she and her husband gave their London address to Companies House for their directorships. Company law states that directors must give their “usual” address.
Renton said on Friday he had charged the Whitakers a “fair rent” but would not say how much they paid.
Yesterday Whitaker said she had sold her family home in London and bought the flat nearby when she and her husband were retiring and wished to move to the country.
She wrote: “I use the London flat to attend sittings in the House of Lords, which often go on late into the night, and I spend the rest of the time in Sussex, where my husband lives for most of the week.”
She said she had been on the electoral register in East Sussex since 2000 and was an active member of the local Labour party: “Our home has been in East Sussex for 10 years.”
But you just know nothing will be done...............NOTHING.
And the thefts will keep on coming.
What has to happen before the body politic in this country actually sit up and think.........err not a good idea.
I mean the rank hypocrasy.............Bercow another fucking example.
£45K on a grace and favour apartment.
Kiddy friendly.
I mean who in the name of bloody sanity with 3 wee tots of kids who in their right mind spend £7K on a chuffing sofa.
But if its not your money..........spend what you like!!!!!!!
But being honest I suppose its like comfort eating.
I mean comfort spending.
To take away the pain from realising just how ridiculous the short arse looks next to his wife.

Ok Fuckwit Defend this one then, your eye, your handwriting????
Further to the now famous Gordon Brown letter to the mother of Guardsman Jamie Jane another monumental fuck up has occurred.
So come on Gordon do please explain this 1 then.
It transpires today that the mother of a soldier killed in Iraq was horrified to find that his name was spelt wrong on the Elizabeth Cross that she received.
An accompanying scroll signed by the Queen had the same error.
Lieutenant Richard Shearer, from Nuneaton, Warwickshire, died in a roadside bomb attack four years ago, aged 26. Maureen Shearer opened the package on Friday to find that the medal and the document featured a non-existent middle initial “A”.
Mrs Shearer, a retired teacher, said: “I just couldn’t believe it. The least we deserve is to have his name spelt correctly.”
It was not the first time that the family had had to deal with a distressing error — the young soldier’s coffin was inscribed with the wrong date of birth when it was flown back from Iraq.
The incident follows the criticism at Gordon Brown for misspelling the name of Grenadier Guardsman Jamie Janes in a handwritten letter to his mother.
Mrs Shearer, a mother-of-two, said: “I’m extremely upset. Losing a son is devastating and I still think of Richard every single day. I opened the package on Friday and just couldn’t believe it when I saw they had got his name wrong.
“I can only think that it was a clerical error but when it comes to something as important as this then the details must be checked, double-checked and made 100 per cent accurate.
“It may just be a name and number to somebody at the Ministry of Defence but my son was a real person who is still missed by all his family and friends to this day. The least we deserve is to have his name spelt correctly.”
And there lies the problem.............what the government and its department actually think.
It emerged last week that civil servants at the MoD were sharing a £47 million bonus pot, while the Government were cutting the budget for frontline soldiers.
Mrs Shearer went on to say “I just can’t believe they’ve made such a mistake, especially with the controversy around the recent letter Gordon Brown wrote to another grieving mum.
“With Ministry of Defence staff getting such huge bonuses they could at least spell my son’s name right. It is only a small thing but the medal is supposed to recognise the sacrifice Richard made, so we want everything to be just perfect.
“Four years ago I watched Richard’s coffin being unloaded at RAF Brize Norton and I broke down when I saw they got his date of birth wrong.
“Our boys deserve so much more than this. I hope no other mum has to endure these mistakes in the future.”
A spokesman for the Ministry of Defence said: “The MoD would like to apologise for any distress caused to Mrs Shearer. We will of course be sending a new Elizabeth Cross.”
So let me just see if I saw that correctly. This is the second time the Government dept has made an error on this servicemans details????
His name as above and his date of birth when repatriated.
I bet this man also got the indignity of a ramp ceremony so the government could ensure his mother got the full gambit of pain.
Proof again...............as if it was needed, of the way Labour treat our Armed Forces.

Dont Say I am totally Bias
Just when you thought the Gordon Brown Letter to Mrs Janes over the death of her son in Afghanistan was going away.
I was very critical of the PM and indeed still are, however in the interest of unbias reporting it seems the Sun is not as innocent or the Champion of Justice it so makes itself out to be.....
Whats this phrase "Let he who is without sin.........."
H/T to the Lobbydog.

Victory is Mine.....................HAHAHA
It reminds me of the old statement.
"Never underestimate the power of Stupid People in large numbers"
But a 33% turnout is not good.
Still you will always be retuned when you fight over a constituency with the worst social stats, on housing, drugs, unemplyment, health, education anywhere in the country and by feeding the voters with bloated handouts that make them dependant no you
Where you can be elected by scaring the voters that the giro's will come to an end if anyone else gets the hot seat.
But hats off to labour............and to Mr Bain I mean as you said Willie a vote of confidence in Gordon Brown and the Labour Parties great preparations for the next General Election.........Bwhahahahahahaha
Too be fair any monkey in a Red Rosette whould win Glasgow NE.
Photo:- Gordon Brown congratulates Willie Bain on Glasgow NE victory!!
But my my.
Who would be a Lib Dem I mean 6th.
474 votes only.
Came in behind the BNP and Tommy Sheridan.
Also note the Tories, the bloddy Tories in Scotland polled more than 2.5 times the number of votes than the Lib Dems.
However we should not be surprised, when can anyone else name a time when a political party actually lost support in the polls after its annual conferance.
That closing speech of Nick Clegg must still be ringing in the ears of Glasgow NE voters. I am still laughing at it today.
But this is not an anti-Lib Dem rant.
That comes later as Willie Rennie prepares for the G.E.
The Wardog blog makes a scary point and I quote below:-
It would be interesting to see the demographic of those that voted, Glasgow City Council reported over 6000 registered postal votes, a rise of some 2000 over the last two months which accounts for 30% of votes cast, surely some kind of record in there too.
Equally chilling is the revelation that over 4000 extra voters have been added to the electoral register in the last month, accounting for 25% of those that voted.
Smell a rat anyone???????
Personally crappy campaign by David Kerr and the SNP.
You got trumped 3:1
You should have done a damn site better.
You were the only real alternative.
Annabel Goldie and her lying Eton boss were no challenge to you.
Seriously Alec and Nicola need a damn good re-think.
It proves though that any vote in Scotland other than the SNP is basically a vote for the labour party. (Thats not me giving my political voting forward that is me giving an election fact)
The last GE tells us that as well.
The Labour Party is actually in power now because they took Scotland.
F*** do my fellow countrymen have something to answer for.

MOD Again............but a bonus?????
Lots being written today about the MOD and its new bonus pyments for "Staff in the front line" according to Postman Pat Alan Johnson.
Now that sounds good but it is not the troops he is referring to............oh no.....its the sad sacks in Whitehall.
VotR has a good piece here so pop over and have a look to update yourself.
However what I wanted to do is advise on probably the most bloated and in efficient dept in government as we speak.
Simple example:-
As of 1/4/09 the number of civillian posts in the MOD was 86970 (source)
ROYAL NAVY SUMMARY
STATISTICS
PERSONNEL SUMMARY
ROYAL NAVY
Trained Strength Nov 2008 34,710
Note: The above figures include 7,700 Royal Marines but do not include the approximate figure of 2,300 personnel from the Army attached to 3 Commando Brigade.
Not included in the above figures are approximately 2,270 civilian personnel manning support ships operated by the Royal Fleet Auxiliary (RFA).
As at November 2008, the Naval Service had a deficit of 1,300 trained personnel.
ARMY SUMMARY
STATISTICS
PERSONNEL SUMMARY
(January 2009)
Trained Strength 98,280
RAF
The RAF operates almost 1,109 aircraft and, as of 31 March 2009, had a projected trained strength of 41,440 regular personnel.
So quick spot maths gives us 174430 people who you could define as uniformed staff.
That plays an MOD civillian group of some 86970.
Giving a 2:1 civvy to uniform ration.
UN F****NG believable.
2 to 1...........where else other than the MOD even in government could you have such a ratio.
Talk about a fat, bloated, inefficient department.
And to further prove the point read this earlier post I did some months ago on the the MOD staff who are actually paid full tiem to do NOTHING.
So keep paying the bonus for nothing and we will keep watching the bodies arrive at RAF Lyneham then driving through Wooton Bassett.

Piggy In Prison
Way hey, a former MEP and general piggy trougher has been jailed for fraudulent expenses claims worth £39,000.
Source Here
Tom Wise, who used to represent the East of England for Ukip before becoming an independent, was sentenced to two years.
He is thought to be the first British politician to be sent to prison for fiddling claims.
A £3,000 secretarial allowance he claimed went to researcher Lindsay Jenkins was actually spent on a new car, fine wines and his credit card debts.
Southwark Crown court in London heard he also spent some of the cash on party political activities.
A national newspaper discovered his ruse, prompting Wise to quit Ukip and repay some of the money.
He inititially pleaded not guilty to false accounting but admitted the offence during the trial, insisting he was to blame, not 62-year-old assistant Ms Jenkins, who was cleared of the charges against her.
Judge Geoffrey Rivlin QC today told Wise: "It is no exaggeration to say that you had hardly got your feet beneath your desk as an MEP before you were planning to defraud the parliament to which you were elected and the people you were elected to serve.
"This was very deliberate and blatant dishonesty."
He accused the politician of abusing the privilege and trust that came with being an MEP and rejected the suggestion Wise had been "bamboozled" by expenses rules.
Well is that not true.
The political class believes they are so much better.
They actually believe that "Its within the rules" arguement is acceptable.
"bamboozled" by expenses rules..............they have it 100% off pat......the 1 set of rules they do know very well.
The sad thing being that this was an MEP. Not 1 of the thieving group of 646 who can hold 60 million of the rest of us to ransom.
The sad thing being I will bet not 1 of the current group post the Daily Telegraphs revelations actually does any time.
Where as any man not in the political class who so much as sniffed at a penny of a false claim would right now be having his ass felt by "Big Vern" in the showers.

Meet the Cartwrights !!
This is wrong in so many ways.
The Cartwrights had claimed a sex Asbo breached their human rights have lost an appeal against the order.
Caroline Cartwright, 48, claims that she is unable to stop the loud shouting and screaming she makes during lovemaking with her husband Steve.
After neighbours, the local postman and a woman taking her child to school complained about the noise, the Cartwrights were hit with a noise abatement notice.
However, when Mrs Cartwright was convicted of breaching the notice, magistrates made her subject of an anti-social behaviour order as well.
She appealed against her conviction for breaching the noise abatement notice and the making of the Asbo, which bans the couple from "shouting, screaming or vocalisation at such a level as to be a statutory nuisance".
Jobless Mrs Cartwright used Article 8 of the Human Rights Act to argue she had a right to "respect for her private and family life". She also claimed that she could not help making the loud noise during sex with her husband.
The hearing at Newcastle Crown Court heard that the Cartwrights' nightly sex sessions at their home in Hall Road, Concord, Washington, Tyne and Wear, were making their neighbours lives' hell. Their lovemaking was described as "murder" and "unnatural" and drowned out their neighbours' televisions. Neighbours said the Cartwrights' sex sessions would usually start around midnight and last for two or three hours, every night of the week, the court heard.
Specialist equipment installed in a neighbour's flat by Sunderland City Council recorded noise levels of between 30 to 40 decibels, with the highest being 47 decibels.
Specialist Equipment............WTF!!!!!! (Excuse the pun)
Who the bloody hell put that in, in the knowledge they were to record people bonking.
Giving evidence, Mrs Cartwright said she was unable to control the noise she made during sex. "I did not understand why people asked me to be quiet because to me it is normal. I didn't understand where they were coming from," she said. "I have tried to minimise the situation by having sex in the morning - not at night - so the noise was not waking anybody. I may be sympathetic to it but it is not something I am doing on purpose."
A judge at Newcastle Crown Court upheld the original conviction and ordered that the Asbo should stay.
I am stunned........I mean fatties, smokers, drinkers, car drivers, light bulbs, the British military to name but a few things criminalised by the government and now loud shaggers!!!!!!!

The Curse of the Demon Drink
Browns Letter
I posted this am about Browns letter to the mother of Guardsman Jamie Janes.
See Here.
My usual good blog friends commented but 1 IMHO deserves a post of its own.
So credit to Tris.

I heard about this on this morning's Today Programme, where they repeat the news every half hour. After the first broadcast the ever loyal BBC had added that the Prime Minister has admitted having problems with his eyes.
Why, oh why is it that these people can never just put their hands up and say.... mea culpa... They are like children, there always has to be a "the dog ate it" kind of excuse.
No one would deny that he has to be a busy man; he's trying to hold together a country which he completely and utterly broke, but surely he could have taken the time to write the letter clearly and legibly without any mistakes. My dad used to make me write my "thank you letters" that way.
I suppose there are people who would take some sort of solace in the fact that the head of the government had taken time to write a letter like that, but Brown could give a masterclass in how not to do it.
Personally, I think that that letter should come from the head of state, not some fly by night, here today, gone tomorrow politician.
If Elizabeth reads this blog she might like to think about it.
In the meantime, if the Prime Minister reads it, I'd advise him of this:
Remember that you are writing, not as an individual. When you write on that paper that we provide you are writing on behalf of all of us. A profoundly serious and sad letter to a mother who has lost her son on our behalf. Do it with some f***ing respect.

Another Piggy Throws in the Towel
Parliament has seen the first MP resign in protest at new rules introduced by David Kelly last week. Source Here
Labour MP Jane Kennedy said she was neither "able nor willing" to work under the new rules mapped out in the Kelly Review last week.
She employs her partner, Peter Dowling, to work in her office – a practise which will be phased out under the new rules.
"I do think we need to try to educate the public about the pressures MPs work under," she told her local paper, the Liverpool Echo.
"The pressures are constant - yes it's rewarding but the pressures are incessant.
"I think I feel that parliament is going to change to a very great extent and I am not sure if I am able or willing to make the change," she continued.
"I am coming up to 52 and I am too old to be told I have to live in barracks.
She added that she was fed up with “highly personal attacks,” and dismayed at recommendations in the Kelly review into the future of Commons’ allowances which would bar MPs from having relatives on the payroll and force them to rent second homes.
"It's not the primary reason, but it is a factor. I am tired, and if I am honest I think the tactics of my opponents are a factor.
"I have spent 20 years fighting elections in which I have faced highly personalised attacks that have little to do with policy and are all about you as a person - that is very draining. "I want to do something else, I don't want to go into retirement.
"I think a lot of people sneer when you want to spend more time with your family.
"But when you have served in government for ten years, yes it's rewarding as an individual, but it is also very draining and has an impact on your family in lots of ways that you are aware of but there is nothing you can do about it."
The former environment minister and critic of Gordon Brown's administration, was facing a tough battle against the Liberal Democrats in the coming general election for the marginal seat of Liverpool Wavertree.
I will credit this lady with 1 thing in that she was 1 of the voices who came out in public in june and told Gordon Brown to go, but she said Mr Brown was not a factor behind her decision to quit.
But IMHO from what this woman has said I do not buy her "More Time with the Family arguement".
What I do think she should have said meaning was "There are no more station stops on the gravy train for me, so I am off."
I mean she said what she thought in June so why not say it now.
Bye bye Piggy.

Illiterate, Ignorant, Dis-respectful and just an embarassment
I am dyslexic.
This blog would not exist if it was not for "The Dundee Wifey" and her encouragement.
However where possible I use spell checker, and a piece of reader software to make things easier for me.
I have a good job which I love and it is no hinderance to me.
The 1 thing I strive to do is not embarass myself by putting out scrawls of illiterate crap as a last min "oh I had better do that" to show a little respect.
Now I am referring to the now much publicised letter our PM sent to the mother of Guardsman Janes killed in Afghanistan last week.
I am not perfect, but I think about it before I do it and dont have a boat load of staff on hand to double check what I do write.
Well see for yourself the state of this so called "Personal and heartfelt letter of condolence"
I mean just look at it............he's the bloody PM!!!!!!
Again words fail me.............this off the back of the blatant dis-respect shown at the cenotaph.
And in a further admission of his ignorance and stupidity this morning our PM phones Mrs Janes to apologise for said letter.
Weapons grade tool.

I dont f****ing Believe I just saw that!!!!!
I actually had to go back and see it again.
I am not advertising here but thats the beauty of a Sky+ box.
Anyway allow me to enlighten.
I went to church this am, my Remembrance Sunday trip.
Not a church go-er save wedding funerals and this Sundays visit.
I went to the war memorial which overlooks the Forth.
Beautiful weather, cold but a beautiful day.
I completed my duties and quickly went home got changed as well you know kids, rugby training would not wait.
I got back, had a shower, made some lunch, turned on the TV and hit play to watch the Cenotaph Ceremony this am.
Went off as well as it always does until the wreath laying ceremony.
And fuck me sideways what did I watch.
Every member of the wreath laying ceremony went forward and laid there tribute. They all took a step back and bowed their head or nodded or a gesture of some sort.
EXCEPT 1 Person!!!!!!
Guess who?????
Picture below as a clue!!!!!
I had to watch it twice..........and yep he did nothing.
Words totally fail me!

Remembrance Sunday
Her hair was up in a pony tail,
Her favorite dress tied with a bow.
Today was Daddy's Day at school,
And she couldn't wait to go.
But her mommy tried to tell her,
That she probably should stay home.
Why the kids might not understand,
If she went to school alone..
But she was not afraid;
She knew just what to say.
What to tell her classmates
Of why he wasn't there today.
But still her mother worried,
For her to face this day alone.
And that was why once again,
She tried to keep her daughter home.
But the little girl went to school
Eager to tell them all.
About a dad she never sees
A dad who never calls.
There were daddies along the wall in back,
For everyone to meet.
Children squirming impatiently,
Anxious in their seats
One by one the teacher called
A student from the class.
To introduce their daddy,
As seconds slowly passed.
At last the teacher called her name,
Every child turned to stare.
Each of them was searching,
A man who wasn't there.
'Where's her daddy at?'
She heard a boy call out.
'She probably doesn't have one,'
Another student dared to shout.
And from somewhere near the back,
She heard a daddy say,
'Looks like another deadbeat dad,
Too busy to waste his day.'
The words did not offend her,
As she smiled up at her Mom.
And looked back at her teacher,
Who told her to go on.
And with hands behind her back,
Slowly she began to speak.
And out from the mouth of a child,
Came words incredibly unique.
'My Daddy couldn't be here,
Because he lives so far away.
But I know he wishes he could be,
Since this is such a special day.
And though you cannot meet him,
I wanted you to know.
All about my daddy,
And how much he loves me so.
He loved to tell me stories
He taught me to ride my bike.
He surprised me with pink roses,
And taught me to fly a kite.
We used to share fudge sundaes,
And ice cream in a cone.
And though you cannot see him.
I'm not standing here alone.
'Cause my daddy's al ways with me,
Even though we are apart
I know because he told me,
He'll forever be in my heart'
With that, her little hand reached up,
And lay across her chest.
Feeling her own heartbeat,
Beneath her favorite dress.
And from somewhere here in the crowd of dads,
Her mother stood in tears.
Proudly watching her daughter,
Who was wise beyond her years.
For she stood up for the love
Of a man not in her life.
Doing what was best for her,
Doing what was right.
And when she dropped her hand back down,
Staring straight into the crowd.
She finished with a voice so soft,
But its message clear and loud.
'I love my daddy very much,
he's my shining star.
And if he could, he'd be here,
But heaven's just too far.
You see he is a British soldier
And died just this past year
When a roadside bomb hit his convoy
And taught Britians to fear.
But sometimes when I close my eyes,
it's like he never went away.'
And then she closed her eyes,
And saw him there that day.
And to her mothers amazement,
She witnessed with surprise.
A room full of daddies and children,
All starting to close their eyes.
Who knows what they saw before them,
Who knows what they felt inside.
Perhaps for merely a second,
They saw him at her side.
'I know you're with me Daddy,'
To the silence she called out.
And what happened next made believers,
Of those once filled with doubt.
Not one in that room could explain it,
For each of their eyes had been closed.
But there on the desk beside her,
Was a fragrant long-stemmed rose

I have said it before I will say it again!
Remember I did THIS post back in September.
I made an apology for swearing outloud on my blog.
But well its my blog and time has moved on.
And guess what............that odeous little turd is Back.........see here
Once again that foul stench of an individual, that deranged cretin, that MP Expense sucking papasite George Foulkes has returned with another 1 of his standard " if someone speaks the truth I am going to discredit and smear that individual" retorts.
And as its late Friday and the pub is calling me.............I am just going to quote direct from the above article...
"But shortly after Prime Minister Gordon Brown issued a staunch defence of his Government’s policy on Afghanistan yesterday, a Lord’s debate on the issue was to reveal a split in the security committee.
Lord George Foulkes branded claims that British troops should be pulled out of Afghanistan as “plain wrong” and “doubly irresponsible”.
And he said comments were “ill informed, gratuitous and sensational”.
Foulkes, who is MSP for the Lothians region, warned that British forces fighting in Afghanistan are performing vital work and said a withdrawal could lead to further terror attacks.
His stance represents a massive split in the parliamentary intelligence and security committee, which Dr Howells chairs and Lord Foulkes advises.
In a speech, Lord Foulkes was expected to say: “Ill informed, gratuitous and sensational calls for withdrawal serve only to undermine the action of the forces on the ground.
“And they are doubly irresponsible because the critics, with very few exceptions, offer no alternative of how to cope with the terrorist threat.”
He warned that if the work to shut down terror cells in Afghanistan is not followed through, more innocent people will pay with their blood.
He said: “More innocent people will die unless these terror cells are closed. This needs action in both Pakistan, which the government there is undertaking, and Afghanistan, where the UN has this responsibility.
“Our action, as part of the UN force, is now being undermined by the growing criticism, much of which is based on irresponsible and ill-informed coverage in parts of the media.”
And although 229 British service people have lost their lives in the conflict, Lord Foulkes claims they face the danger as part of their duties."
You have to read my earlier post and this whole article.
if you do.........put all sharp objects away and get any kids out of the room to realise was a complete shit of an individual this man is!!
And I have said it before and I will say it again..............Foulkes why dont you just FUCK OFF!
Oh good god!
Is it me or is this just a joke??
The Hadron Collider at Cern has broken down again.
Due to a bloody cheese sandwich being dropped by a seagull.
Are you having a laugh?
Story here...............and its the good Dr's quote at the end that got me.
As we say in Scotland...................Ya Tube!!!
Brown Bollocks Part 2
Further to my earlier post and hit tip to Jess the Dog see here, on our saviour of the World and his Afghainstan statement this am.
Well the lovely Subrosa has a further piece to it here.
At the end she makes a ref to Gordy Babies quote in the Daily record and I quote from Rosies Blog as follows......
Update: A quote from Gordon Brown in the Record:
"A 'Fortress Britain' policy of just protecting your own borders is not going to be sufficient."
What evidence does he have to make that assertion? No effort has been made for years to protect our borders efficiently. Quite the contrary.
Very true Subrosa and lets look at that further..........the country with the stronest border security apart from Israel has to be the USA. And indeed sadly events of the last 24 hrs at Fort Hood Texas have proven that NO ONE can protect your borders 100%. Certainly not from an internal, dare I say home grown threat............and do we think the UK has any home grown threat risk??????
Not as if we gave passport out to any bugger that wanted them without so much of second glance is it???!!!
Do we ?????????????
On a lighter note...notice I used my Gordy Prozac photo again...my fave of him!
